The developer is extending too often the release dates. As a free user, i have no rights to criticize him/her. However this may result to lose some of his/her patrons.
those who wanted to leave due to the 1month DMD/2 months Melody have already left. He doesn't have to worry about this

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about.I am playing the game since september 2016.
DmD is maybe the only game that get all updates except 1/january 2018,when Patreon open hell/ right on time.

I don't have a problem. I've cancelled all my patreons as I've become cynical about subscriptions for these things. I'll happily kick £10 towards Mr Dots when the next chapter comes though. If that takes 1 month, 3 months or 12 months I'm giving him the same amount.

It's obviously a really great adult VN game. That's not for debate. I just have a small complaint/critique (spoilers ahead):
Ok, my main issue revolves around the way that this game (and many others) handle NTR.
DMD has 3 examples (that I know of) in the first chapter alone. I don't have a problem with that! In fact, my issue is that it's not really NTR but the teased illusion of NTR. Now, I'm aware that some enjoy NTR and others don't. I'd loosly estimate that 75% don't want any of it at all and 25% do or are indifferent. Yet, the worst thing a game can do is try to ride a line that appeases everyone on that subject.
I happen to enjoy it but not because I like cuck porn or scenarios. In actual life I find it lame and kind of laughable. However, I'm also incapable of actually inserting myself into these games. Even if I use my name for the MC, I can't fully believe that it's me. Therefore, that's not my daughter/gf/wife so that's not my daughter/gf/wife being fucked by another man. To me (and many NTR lovers) it's just a sexy woman being fucked. It's a cheap but effective way to illicit emotion from the player.
The subject of rape them comes up. Again, I don't enjoy the thought of an actual person being raped. I don't watch rape porn, for instance. Yet, in a VN I don't mind it because it's fake...It's a fake story involving comically BS sexual scenarios. Let the insanity fly if just a BS story. JMHO.
All that said, DMD dangles NTR/rape in front of the gamer to various emotions. Some hate it, some don't mind it and some want to see it. None are wrong and none are right but what seems wrong (or at least stupid/lazy) is removing the option entirely while still dangling it. Don't put for the possibility multiple times only to back out each time.
A VN takesa long time to make. By all means, have the actual sex scenes be made up of dozens of renders and animations! Spend 99% of resources on what you intend. I would simply propose that you make 5-10 renders and a little script to appease those that would like to see the implied NTR/rape.
So, at the beach simply include 5-10 renders showing what is implied. Even if it still delivers a game over, do it. It adds a couple more days to the development that already takes months anyway.
The douche at the bar you play pool with FOR YOUR DAUGHTER'S PUSSY (lol), give the actual option to lose. Again, it's 5-10 renders of her getting fucked.
Lucas? Same. Except I'd have made that a full-fledged direction in the game. Letting him (or making the choices that allow it to happen) should be an optional part of the story itself. Again, 5-10 renders and the ramifications to the future of the story is all it takes even then.
In short, it just seems like an obvious addition that too many games hint at but never have. Either do it 100% or don't 100%. Either seem as simple so I don't know why so many ride that line of appeasing but ultimately disappointing both.
PS: DMD is not the only game to do this. Another specific instance for me is in Acting Lessons. Megan is home alone as you go to fuck your ex. Her friend's psycho step-dad breaks in and tries to rape her. Ok. At that point the dev has a clear option to please eveyone and doesn't! Megan gets away and anti-NTR loved it while pro-NTR were disappointed. Fine...but just add both options. Why not? It's a few renders and a bit of story tweaks to please everyone. I don't get it why more don't do it.

This seems to be more of a whinge about games not including content that you personally want and not an actual critique of the game or other games. I mean, you state it yourself that you'd, "...loosly estimate that 75% don't want any of it [NTR] at all and 25% do or are indifferent...". Now I'm not a developer but if I thought that three quarters of my potential audience didn't want NTR in their game, then regardless of whether I liked it or not, I'd probably leave it out. Why alienate 75% (your figures) of your customer base for one path in your game, that in a game like DMD would really detract from the romantic F/D relationship.
The other point is that a large section of people hate that kind of content, so maybe the dev is in the camp where NTR isn't preferred?
How is it a whinge to say that it would be easy to please most everyone?
Did you read where I said to focus 99% on your vision but do a small bit to please those that don't want your exact vision? Again, 5-10 renders would please everyone (be it on either side of the discussion).
Also, again, I don't prefer either as I don't get invested in a VN personally. I don't care. It just feels cheap and lazy to allude to something 3x and balk each time.
Edit: That or he'll have her getting raped in ch.3 and that would be retarded given the direction of the story. So, do it or don't. Don't hint at it 3x and not do it. Or, in this case, kinda-sorta do it but not really show it and result in a game over.

I just finished Ch 2 at the point Elena walks in to find F and D sleeping naked together but the walkthrough shows there is more. Did I do something wrong or is it just content for the next update?
Thinking of starting this one, do I download chapter 2 only or do I need to download both chapter 1 AND chapter 2 ? Seems weird to me that there isn't one big game but instead 2 chapter links. Thanks.

It's great that you realise that as a pirated user it's not your place to say but as many others have said MrDots is probably one of the best with release dates and since the DMD/Melody structure has been in place for a while everyone understands what they're signing up for.

Are you sure you downloader v0.19?, some of the download links might be outdated. In case you are playing in android, its version is an update behind.
I'm on Android. I download from the OP. Still quite new to this. My Ch1 save didmt carry over so I just made all the same choices to start Ch2 that I had in ch1.
