Playing chapter 1, I guess I kinda screwed up. After punching Lucas and taking him out, daughter asks to go to her mommy and...game over.
Searching through forum, I guess I should have gone to the police earlier. MUCH earlier. Is there a way to edit the safe to go forward? Or am I SOL? And if I just start with chapter 2 and ignore what's left in chapter 1, how much am I missing? Am I close to being done anyway?
Great game...easily one of the best I've tried in quite awhile.

You could just start a new game and do CTRL or TAB to get back to where you have to make the right decisions and/or be lazy and install this Lains Mod for CH1.

One more stupid question...once I somehow get past the Lucas scene in the apartment, does that idiot come back in this chapter or further ones, or are we finally done with him?

i had been playing dmd until the middle of chapter 2 and i just did it all over again recently, and i am lost. Could D win the competition at the end of Chapter 3, or is this slut Tyra winning whoever we do?
And if yes, how?
The walkthrough gives indications such as the choice of bikini, and also the photo shoot on the beach with the two young guys, but even choosing the swim suit that D has chosen (choice which is supposed to make her win the bikini stape ), and by accepting the photo shoot with the two guys (choice which is supposed to make her win the competition) She finished second in the standings.

Happy New Year to you too! The simple answer is no. Think about when every "choice" you make in the game could lead to different outcomes, the game would soon become untenable due to its mathematical complexity of variables. And we already bitch about waiting so long for the next update!
