You literally couldn't be more wrong OR have only watched Marvel movies. Either way I feel bad for you.
And I never once said that was what I wanted or even implied it. In fact, I openly stated - should you have actually read what was written before replying with what you incorrectly thought was a cool retort - you'd have read that I stated what made the game BETTER with D & F. It can be better than it is now and has been before. As the post I quoted said, the story changed dramatically around the time mentioned.
Finally, let me end by getting to the point everyone in disagreement falls back on:
You think people that find the story boring want NTR or "cuck" stuff. No, not necessarily. I'm not in to cuck shit myself. I'm into good stories and since you bring up other media, let's go there:
What movie or book has a story that lacks an arc, the so-called "Hero's Journey"? What story has a main character that faces zero struggle or odds to overcome like F does in DMD?
The man is fucking his biological daughter, ffs. The so-called "cuck lovers" just want any other man with different genetics to bang her, lol. That's it. Yet, they're the weird ones?! lolok.
But back on point, even a man banging his daughter has found zero real struggle to overcome. All women love him, all men respect and bow to him. What fun is that?
As I said, that's incel mentality to the max. That's not a good story.
Yet, not only are the other threats/challengers gone but the remaining men are now privately telling D that they won't touch her without her father's permission, lmfaoooo!

So what is the story arc here? That's all we want! Well, I'm sure some just want some cuck shit but many of us just want ANY struggle, any challenges of any kind, any development as a person from D. That's it.

DMD has as D has evolved from a shy sheltered girl into a sexual curious young woman F faded from being the central character. Since D went tot eh model cometition in Chapter 3 DMD is D's story.
You could make the credible argument that just as Haley's Story revolved around Haley as opposed to the MC, DMD has also revolved around Dee from day one. While we've experienced the story through the MC and there was a period of separation from Dee, she's been the MC's singular or most important focus throughout the VN. Compared to the MC's involvement with Dee, all other possible LI's, including Georgiana, are really side girls. There has never been a woman/girl in this VN that the MC would choose over Dee.

The whole trouble is that F & D haven't really faced any significant challenge, as a couple, since Ch2. Their story has become very boring as a result. A crisis in their relationship would do wonders to alleviate this.

Not true. Mr Dots and his team repeatedly said F and D path are main content and that ch 4 will continue their story to its conclusion. Everything else are side content that doesn’t need to be flesh out.

Games made in last couple of years feature dramatically improved graphics, visuals and much better writing. This offsets headache in dealing with Patreon, hence most of top games on this site are not incest. 4-5 years ago you were almost guaranteed to make money with cliche story: missing/dead father and pervert kid living with mom and 2 sisters.
Not so much anymore. DMD was pioneering and innovative when it started 5 years ago. People invested lots of time (and many of us money as well) so there is lots of nostalgia attached to the game. If game dropped in now, it would have much less success.
Exactly, adult games have overall evolved (I remember when Man of the house, Milf City, Dreams of desire, DMD etc. were the most popular games here, all incest). I don't mind the occasional incest game but its good to see that there is more variety now and overall better writing. The incest formula was getting old
You definitely should play and I am even a bit envious that I know it already - the story is sweet and I am sure you like it.

There are other games out there that use literary inspiration, but I wouldn't consider DmD as one of them.
I can imagine basing a game on Oedipus Rex, and then angering a contingent with the traditional ending.

To each their own. If I were Dot's though I would have preferred to be known for creating something good, rather than to be known for my ability to milk something mediocre.

That's some pretty bad milking I'll agree, but when you compare DMD Ch1 & 2 to what we have seen in 3 & 4, the contrast is quite stark. IDK, I'm probably considerably older than Dot's, but in my opinion, DMD was something to be proud of up to 2 despite the stilted dialogue, after it was at best just a paycheck.

CH3 and 4 are completely useless and well.... let's call it "meh"....
