Maybe it depends on previous choices, like if you don't have enough corruption or whatever you wont peek either way or it might be a fake choice were no matter what you choose it'll always choose the same one for ya.
Or it might be a bug

Edit. Looks like game loaded old saves somewhere autom. So I was able to continue.

I think it's better to start from fresh, because some choice in day before the last in prev version trigger some variables...

I always start a new game with this one, it keeps me in the feel

i dont let daugter drink.and my LP is more then 15.FP more the 60 too.
but i just get bear and go back room .is all alaways GAME OVER ....why?is bug?

The walkthrough is confusing when it comes to the food you pick.
You need to pick the Avacado appetizer and Lasagna as the main course, NOT Mixed Vegetables.
