Recoding a project to future proof it is perfectly alright, but Patrons pay for content, not for you to do stuff that results in them getting nothing at all for their money.

Question, are you a Patron of Mr Dots? Coz i am and the vast majority were perfectly happy with Mr Dots taking this update to go back and fill in plot holes/fix bugs.

He says quite clearly here that next month will be first part of Chapter 2.

Edit: Also for patrons who were only concerned with getting content for their money. Mr Dots told us of his intentions well in advance, we had plenty of time to pause our pledges for this month if we wanted to so no one has any right to complain.

I just looked at the cached version of his patreon page fom before the release (19.35 gmt) and seems that " a lot of patreon" now is equal to "3 patreons". you should link numbers when you say something, or at least state that it's just an opinion.

There was no milking. IF you paid attention last month, Mr.Dots said there would be no new content this month. He said he would be fixing the code and changing some scenes to close up chapter 1, chapter 2 will be a new .exe file altogether.

TLDR, he warned people it would only be re-coding the game to close chapter 1.

Why the fuck would I want to go trough crap I've been forced to play trough a dozen times already AGAIN to see a couple new images added to old scenes? Forced replaying is bullshit and a mechanism to pretend you actually added anything of value to a game.

You don't waste an update on fixing your own screwups, you fix your screwups AND give your supporters what they pay for.

You may have to work a little harder to do so, so it's YOUR screwups at YOUR cost in time instead of YOUR screwups at the cost of THEIR time.

Sorry shitty English no time now. Anwyay. I was the main responsible for the whole bugs/plotholes spotting, I helped conceivng fixes and revisions, and I can assure you, MrDots worked his ass off as much as any other update (if not more). You have absolutely no idea how many scenes needed recoding, rewriting, re-rendering... All the times Elena was mentioned even though you were not dating her, all the times a choker disappeared, all the times a variable was added only in hindsight... We lost many sleeping hours working on the game. Being disrespectful without knowing is just stupid.
