If you (patreon) are allowing adult and porno games on your website, then you should not have these restrictions. Yes we are against rape, torture and violence etc. But you can’t say to your GF/BF that yes I will have sex but I won’t undress. I mean this is meaningless. Unfortunately we don’t have any trustworthy alternative other then patreon. I think all the developers should get together and make a new site for themselves. Its not easy but also not impossible.

Those people who oppose us and think that we are a bunch of perverts. I want to say to them we are not perverts, we respect our family members and others like everyone else and if you don’t like these games just don’t play them. There are many better things to do in the world other then launching a war against us.

I created this page a while ago to test MakerSupport's services. I found the platform very limited and since it's run by a single guy, I have serious doubts about its reliability in the long run. Until MakerSupport becomes a serious platform and starts accepting Paypal or other payment services, I'm afraid it's not a viable option for me. Thanks. Mrdots.

Paypal isn't a viable option as a payment processor, they don't allow adult content.

How certain is this? I tried to dig through their website and all I could find is that they prohibit "items that are considered obscene" and "certain sexually oriented materials or services". The first one probably means physical items and the latter couldn't be more vague if they tried. Look, there's a good chance I might be baboon who can't find his own arse with both hands, so any concrete info would be appreciated.

Middle age men and younger women date, get married, have children, etc. all the time. Just because the man has money (for example) and experience, does not mean he dominates the woman. The young woman has youth and beauty (presumably) which give her power, as well. You think Melania Trump has no bargaining power with Donald Trump? I think she has a lot!
It's not a "position of social/emotional dominance/young girl as NOT completely consenting" unless the man is her boss, her teacher, her professor, a police officer, or someone who is in a position of authority who either a) uses financial power (i.e. casting couch, offer of promotion or firing in employment) or b) abuses trust (i.e., teacher, police officer, physician, athletic trainer).

Because Patreon is going SJW on a new level just like Youtube, Twitter, Facebook etc. The free market is starting to fix that. New companies are starting to form. This programmer is making a new crowdfund site. However he have not yet release it. He is looking for funds to do the project. I'll see it to believe it... because he plans on releasing a beta by April. ...April the holiday of April Fools Day. If he is serious he pick a bad month to start. Will see how it goes for him. Sounds promising what he plans to do.

Pretty sure that was tried and, unsurprisingly, didn't work... Patreon (and Co) aren't that stupid or blind. It might have been something different if the developers had been a bit more careful about what they posted on their Patreon pages / kept more of a distance between it and their actual games but not as known actor with a history.

Or people trying to profit from one of the big trends... And it is not really a new phenomena (anybody who has any idea of the topic could tell you of tens if not hundreds of people trying and failing to copy Patreon) nor does is seem likely that those platforms will be any more successful than the hundreds that tried to unseat Patreon before them. And it certainly isn't "social justice" that will kill Patreon.

And while a nichee Platform for supporting games like DmD might indeed appear it will never have anywhere the reach of Patreon.
