Has anyone had any luck with the latest 0.16 Mac download in the OP? I managed to unzip it with Ez7z, but the resulting app wouldn't run -- OSX thinks it's a PowerPC application (!) but in fact the issue is that the executable in the package is zero bytes. Stuck traveling, a perfect chance to kill a few hours but no joy...

If you want you can finish ch.1/if you ask me you must do it/ so download DmD 0.14.There is some changes from 0.13 most important are sex with Olivia or Elena.You can check here.

@esas has since added that downloading the wine browser is also a good solution for Mac-users.

Finally got chapter 16 to start, playing it now and I have to say I'm confused.

I don't get how the legal stuff is supposed to work if technically the daughter is an adult.
I mean, that's why the mother had to get her home with a trick, since she can basically do what she wants as an adult.
So how is it even about custody or anything, why would this be a custody battle.

I mean, age of consent were I live is way below 18 so I'm not gonna blow a moral blood vein if D is under-aged, but I felt the game established pretty much that she's at least 18, so I can't quite follow how this is playing out.

Yeah, I don't get the whole lawyer situation, if D is 18 she's free to do whatever she wants from a legal perspective. You just have to suspend your disbelief I suppose.

Keep in mind we’re playing a game that doesn’t mention the names of what town, city or country they’re in, characters without surnames, girls without pubic hair, and they all have a thing for donuts (probably)!

Going over that scene with Jeff the lawyer, I think he was alluding to the fact that this Brad guy is corrupt, he probably has not only the financial power, but also the legal power in the town D is from (as though he’s the Mr. Burns of this particular place, or the Falcones in Gotham), and the official custody laws are of no concern to people like Brad, given his overall pulling power and contacts. The rules just simply don’t apply to him. Which may explain why Jeff doesn’t give F a hope in hell of winning against him in a court room.

We haven’t seen him as yet so he could be a much feared mafia boss for all we know?

I’d suggest to not look into things like this too much and treat the game as the fantasy it’s supposed to be. To me it’s more enjoyable that way
