Guys, I really have no idea what you are all going on about. It wasn't me who doubted Mr. Dots intentions I made a SARCASTIC post in reply to someone who did.

I'm talking about this post by Goldy:

"Dots said he'll develop 2 projects but it means more or less that he will dump DMD at some point when his playerbase switch entirely to new project. Business is a bitch and there is no place for emotions.

I have no idea if and how long Mr. Dots will stick to DmD, I hope he does until it's finished, I was merely criticizing Goldy for his idea that he knew exactly what Mr. Dots was going to do.

with that kind of support, why not have 2 teams? im sure they can recruit one or two more,
i mean, 2 separate project should give more income as well. its not a good move to work with 2 projects, that could create problem with the flow of the game.

I believe Patreon picked Mr.Dots because some jealous guy who was suffering a lot because of the amount of money Mr.Dots was making and who didn't like incest discovered here on f95 that Mr.Dots was still developing the original story for DMD despite the changes he made on his patreon page. He threatened on this forum to denounce Mr.Dots to Patreon. And apparently he did it.

But then you can get a problem with idiots writing in to his Patreony 3D Art page, harassing him about problems with his latest under the table release of DMD. You know it will happen. Just look at the constant barrage of questions that happen here after an upload.

Mr. Dots could answer those idiots on his patreon page something like:
"Sorry X, This page is not related to DMD any longer. It is dedicated to my 3D art." and he would send an e-mail to them telling the full story, and where they could ask for help.

Couldn't Mr.Dots change the script of DMD to a 'Patreon-complient' version and host the actual script file on a different site?

My thought was that for the Patreon version, Rachel and the MC were old friends. Rachel was an French-exchange student who was hosted by MC and his family when they were in their teens. When Rachel went back, they still kept in contact over the years. Now Rachel has a daughter who's interested in studying overseas after her final year in high-school. Rachel suggests going to MC's country for a couple of weeks (to test the waters and so MC can watch over her)...

I don't think it would involve any major changes to the current script, but it would effectively remove the familial relationship.

The problem is if he actually starts do develop two games at the same time, DMD updates will take much longer to occur.
I suggest he doesn't take seriously the second game, making small updates to it per 60 days or so. But he is the one to make the decision.

Since months the name of the game "was" DMD. For Patreon that change apparitly nothing

No serious developer can develop a game just for the sake of development. He would lose reputation if his name was connected to a crappy game and it doesn't matter that he was forced to do so. Marketing is really important

The Only , and i mean ONLY , solution to these kind of issues , applicable not only to DMD but to all adult games that may have troubles with "strict policies" on Patreon or else is simply this:

Create a host site , like Patreon and simply process all payments with cryptocurrencies through bitpay or simply by creating smart contracts per individual.
I am sure that this will lead to numerous supporters who will more willingly pay with crypto rather than paypal or credit.
Myself included.
Untill then all others solutions are nothing more than mediocre ones.

Just my 2 cents.
