Lol! I play only the D-only path. Ofc, a vid is more "exciting" than a still image.
But I also dl the CG file (which also contains ALL the animations of the game). That way, plus following this thread, lets me know what's happening on all paths. I may then choose to play these paths.
This constant either/or argument is extremely unrealistic...

VN doesn't have to contain so called animation. After all this is not an animated game. But time to time we also get some looping animations because it's the next step towards next generation VN. You shouldn't expect a complete animated VN from renpy.
And also....if you didn't play yourself, you won't be able to understand what is going on with other route just from looking at the cg. By reading this thread you can see that something happened but you have no idea how, when, why??? After all we have no intension to spoil the game for the players.

This guy is the worst human character I have come across in an game. I dont play tons of games and always find incest unnecessary at best. This game is basically a grooming \incest game. I almost fell off the chair when he complains about his wife being overprotective yet he is grooming this total innocent. Then has the balls to say at least he had morals. Seems like the mother was 100 percent right in protecting her daughter from predators like this douche bag.

As far as actual game play goes , The whole "This scares me, wow there was nothing to be afraid of" and not being able to be away from the douche bag father for 2 seconds wears out quickly. Since this guy has shown he is a total dick already he should hook up with Georgina and start banging her super model friends. That way he would just be a douche bag instead of a totally creepy douche bag cruising for high school non high school girls. The daughter would be much better off with that photographer Richard. A character who seemed normal with actual morals.

I just had to write this because I was amused by this game in a way that the author never intended.

I rejected Georgina. If you accept her, she tells you a little of her life story. Later you bend her over a desk at your office and fuck her. Where is the suspense?
Elena comes on to the MC when he first visits E + D at their hotel. If MC accepts her, she basically informs him he can fuck her if he dates her. This has happened a few times, now. Suspense?
The only suspense, mystery--and foreplay--has been between MC and D.
These other paths have been easy-peasy with the CGs and this thread. Nothing of importance was missed. Those paths could easily be cut down 75% in quantity with no appreciable loss to the DMD story line.

Suspense with D? "Daddy I am scared and stupid , please program me as your sex doll. That way I can over come my fears to become your stepford wife" This was a heck of a lot of playtime for a bj to this point. Just having a little fun.

You're not wrong. I've said this before but the only difference between Lucas and the MC in this game is that the MC is made to be the hero not by virtue of his actual character but because of his looks, dick size, and status as an older man, and the benefit of the narrative being designed to help him whenever it can. All the girls want to fuck him, everyone here wants to be him, and if Lucas was the main character it would be the exact same except he'd be younger.

People don't have a problem with rape/coercion/grooming in these games unless it's someone else doing it to a girl that they themselves want to fuck. Not that I'm condemning that, I mean I play these games too and they're obviously fantasy, but that's what this is: fantasy. And in fantasy, you're only the good guy because it's you. Wow! Going way back! I'm no longer current but probably watched every episode (several times) in the first 5 Star Trek series. My favs : Deep Space Nine ; Voyager ; Next Gen ; Star Trek ; Enterprise.
But really, check out some other VN games. The DMD Dad, just because he is a good moral father some of the time, is not as low-life as most male MCs. He's evil enough, sure...

I love the emissary plot line and then it all fell to hell for me. it was unwatchable and is the only Trek from TV I have not seen at all. Mine would be old school, next gen, voyager and then enterprise.

I guess I am not attracted to the games where the MC is worse than this guy. He is king DB up to this point for me but it could be the type of games I play. for me it has to have decent graphics, not be one of those terrible repeating dialog to gain stat games, some choice of action(like milfy city) instead of straight linear progression like this game and a decent story unlike this game.

I completed the chapter one and made a save at the thank you page. But when I continue with the chapter two, I choose continue from chapter one. But everything so different. Why do I have to choose what path I took at chapter one??? And every event and stats are different from before. Why is that??? Do I need to install both game at the same time or only the save file from the chapter one is needed??? Thanks.

Here's the problem. Unless a Chapter 1 save is at the very end, that would never work with Chapter 2 because of missing data (between the game moment and the actual end of Chapter 1).
I only play the D-only path. At the welcome screen, I choose "continue from Chapter 1" and go to Chapter 2 with my full array of points.
That same process should work for EVERY path. But you have to reach the last screen of Chapter 1 EACH time. Then switching to Chapter 2 should get you transferred. Once started Chapter 2, make a quick save (such as D + E ; Day 0). Once all your chosen paths are in place for Chapter 2, ANY start point can be changed to a different path by loading one of those saves.
But absolutely go to the final screen--"thank you" on the screen--first.
Forget about loading any prior saves. If you had prior Chapter 2 saves, delete them. Prior Chapter 1 saves are still useful for replays.
I hope you're using Chapter 1--14.5. If not, the bad news is you'll have to.

Hmm....may be that's the reason. I was playing the 14.0 version. Even though it is a finished game it was not compatible with chapter two. So dev made 14.5 to make it compatible with chapter two????

if you really couldn't load savegame form ch1 in ch2, just start ch2 without savegame. All relevant decisions you've mad can be entered again at start by chosing "Continue from Ch.1" instead of "Load Game"

As for DMD I get it that these games exist in their own setting but I can't see where people see any compassion in such a game? It surely might be exciting but it's basically story about a sick pervert who tries to bang his clearly handicapped daughter destroying her life while doing her friends and all other women. Only thing that's different from real life cases is that she's somewhat willingful but her mental issues are so obvious it might be the case.
