There's a version of Game X in which the MC is not related to any of the NPCs. There may also be a version of Game X in which the MC is related to some of the NPCs.
One game contains incest. The other doesn't. t's lunacy to pretend that those two games are identical.
There's a version of game Y in which the MC's NPC has sex with someone else and the MC's upset.
There's another version of game Y in which the MC's NPC isn't a love interest, yet still has sex with someone else. A player asserting that that's netorare is like a player insisting an NPC is having anal sex when the renders clearly show that she isn't. It's an internal fantasy that isn't reflected in reallity.
It's equally lunatic to claim that both of those games feature netorare. One does. the other doesn't.
The player's feelings don't matter. The only thing that matters is what's in the script.
