Really disappointing. This game started great! And remained great up to the Chapter-2. But from there it was downhill...
I suppose the changes in the developer team took a toll on the game quality. As the game evolved players had more options available with D, after all the game is 'Dating My Daughter', so, she's the one that really matters. But in this update (V0.35) players had no options to caress D. It all happened automatically, no rub tits or rub ass, no fun at all. And at the final scene, no anal available. If that was the sexual routine the player had built for them throughout the game, it simply vanished because they didn't put the option there. Option that was available in their prior sexual encounters. It is sad to say it, because I love this game, but it looks like it will finish with a whimper...

And AGAIN: They didn't work 2 months on DMD, they only worked 4 weeks on it. The other time got their other game "Sunshine Love".

Finally there will be NO new variants - there will be endings. This update was all about the coco party and final build up for the now following endings.

I know exactly how long it takes to render things, and I also know Dots team has enough money to have 10 computers, each with one or 2 3090 GPU. So I guess 10 comps with a 3090 would not be a good investment, but I would be surprised if they don't have at least five, or better yet : one or 2 computers but their own render farm rig with 4x 3090 or an A100 or whatever pro GPUs they want to render. So render time at this point is not the same as for a beginner team. They have what's needed to make it fast.

So I know about the other game too, and I know about all the pose swapping they have to do, but this time it was all : make a scene, light it, pose it once with the biggest numbers of characters, send to render, remove a char, render, swap one, render, remove another... it was like factory work this time. They only had to pose most scenes once, then it's just swapping. And don't forget they also re-used a lot of poses from previous updates, they only change camera angles. So that's even more time saved. Whatever it was in reality, it really felt like 2 weeks and a half of work at best.

Yeah that's just lazyness and remembering I vaguely struggled last time I set up my sig and so I tend to keep it like it is in fear that I will fuck it up and waste 30mn on it before I succeed. But you're right I should do it one day. Then there's also the fact that DmD is kinda my first love in VNs, and I love D's character, even if the game has been 50% disappointing lately. And this smiling dog just cracks me up. :D Thanks to the guy who made that sig.

  1. you can only import game states created by my android port of DMD CH3 v0.29.1
  2. you can only load save files created by my ports of CH4
from now on my android ports of Ren'Py games have a 2nd, persistent save location like windows. if you uninstall an app, the save files and persistent data remain intact.
therefore the app needs the permission to access the public external storage (or a new one on Android 11 :FacePalm:), because it has to read and write outside its own external storage directories.

I found it was good until the end of Chapter 2 then went downhill, kinda like keeping the game alive for the sake of keeping the game alive, the initial objective in the story was met at that point, then it became more of turning Dee in to a tramp than anything worthwhile story wise.

Just finish the update and well... all I can say is I expected more from Mr. Dots and his team.

All of the talk of "planning for tonight" that Elena kept referencing made me expected A LOT more than that. Dialogues and sex scene itself was at best flat. You can tell the dialogues and scenes was extremely limited by design so they could copy and paste it onto different routes. But I have to say I was most disappointed in D+F only route. Given this is the supposed "main route", I expected unique scenes with more carefully written dialogues but it was just a compilation of cut and paste dialogues from other routes. Sex scene is literally reused from earlier chapters.

This was an incredibly lazy update and not nearly up to standard to what I have come to expect from Mr. Dots. Although DMD's quality has steadily decline, with this update we are officially at the "putting the proverbial sick dog down" phase. A very disappointing end to such a masterful beginning.

When they announced that DMD would wrap up this year, I was looking forward to it.
Because the climax of all the paths was happening.

But with every update I saw more and more that there wasn't enough time to wrap it up.
There is so much untapped potential that they are skipping over... Endless possibilities...
And there is no way they can do it all, hell scratch the surface, in 2 more updates.

I rather have that they say "it's finished when i's finished even if it takes another 5 years" and do it properly.
But I suppose they are burned out on DMD

DMD was the first porn game I played. Accordingly, I was taken with it and have followed it ever since. This update will be the first one I will not download. What I have read about it here in the forum is enough for me to know that I will be bored.
I have already noticed in the past episodes that I have more and more the feeling to watch an old couple having sex. The tension was just gone. Too much vanilla.
Of course you can form a harem. I have avoided that. The main reason was that in parts 1 and 2 I was of the opinion that when a girl gets involved in having sex with her own father, you can't cheat on her with her best friends. Also, I was not interested in Georgine, Elena and Jennifer. As MC I could fuck all the women and it was quite early to see that Dee would accept all this. Here I would have expected more conflict, more tension. The development team has also avoided this.
On the other hand, I enjoyed the Margo and Ryan (a little Martin too, except for the father's inane inner monologues) events very much.
A sexual revenge path of the daughter for the humiliations she has experienced by her mother - also became nothing.
And, and....
Overall, I would have expected more sexual adventurousness from the couple F+D and more emancipation of Dee, instead she is still the little girl and he can still be the selfish asshole who fucks all the women and can be sure that his partner forgives him everything and believes if she then participates she would be a good wife.

I don't understand this obsession of people, the game has given what it had to give. Endless possibilities? Where? The game has been dragging for a long time, there's nothing else to put, scenes and positions reused several times.
Seems like some people married D literally, want to see the same, same sex scenes for a lifetime.
That's it, finish this game and start the next one, this one is already saturated, and give this at least a decent ending.
