means in the pub right before the never ever have I questions. all I did was choose the options that made Kathy drink and she went toilet after. then Amanda sent me to watch over her and hey presto
Ch9 has a very bad story quality. Even in Ch8 story was bullshit - unnecessary side caracters.

Was the story changed later or is it still there in the "real daughter" version? I guess I have to refresh my memory, then. My apologies.
Oh man, this is so true! Just like there is way too many confusing side characters in The Lord Of The Rings. I just couldn't remember all those little fuckers. The story is total bullshit. Should have been just two characters - Frodo and Sauron. Clear short story without any additional confusing characters. Not more than 10 pages long, with large pictures and printed on cardboard in CAPS.
You can still download the "original" chapter 1 in the OP at least I did yesterday, I then went to Palmers website and downloaded the "new" version and yes it is WAY different. So for now if you DL the Chapter 1 from here you will get the original version. Right after the scene where you can turn on the coffee pot you go out back and there you will have a "flashback" to when you were driving your wife to the hospital and she is delivering your baby.

Ch 9 has a bug when you use left click game skips the dialogues. It's specified in the op.
Technically you don't have to. I created a version using my own saves rather than using someone elses. Its not that hard to create a backup file from the VNE2 offline version to play the HTML offline version. The backup file is just basically a json of the save folder. I'm surprised nobody created a tool for that. Copy the contents of the continuity dat and profile dat files from save folder into the top json dictionary using dfd.0.+<filename> as the key. Logmaps can be empty arrays. Might even only need the previous chapter but I didn't test that.

Think of this whole story as of 9 individual games. You need to download each chapter (game) and play them one by one. After Chapter 3, the game will start to ask you for proof that you played the previous ones in order to keep playing. You need to "import" your save file from the main menu option, so that you can select it when prompted at the start of the next chapter, and so on.

Every chapter I've cracked, it gets patched in the next update. At this rate, it won't be long till it gets too complicated for me. Like I said in my first upload, I've never done/learned coding in my life so if something's broken, so be it. I just upload what seems to work for me.
When I crack the new chapters, I might as well and keep it for myself x'D

There is no walkthrough for this game, and I doubt there will ever be one. Most of the game is linear. I suggest saving before each major choice, and play through each choice a short way to see the reactions of the NPCs. The choice the NPC is most pleased with is invariably the best one. That, and if there is still a problem, do a search on this thread. Most questions are answered right here.
