First, I am having fun too. Second, tell your coder to learn flash, java applet or silverlight Let us have a little bit more fun while cracking. It's boring to work around in plain text codes. Otherwise what is the point of letting crackers to ruin your work if you are not improving your company's skills.

When people are consistently complaining about the exact same issues that Palmer insists nobody is complaining about, I'd say it's still relevant.

But if you say we can't talk about it, we can't talk about it.

I'll just let everyone else make my point for me by raising the same complaints basically every day. The same ones you keep having to answer, like in the very comment you tell me I can't talk about it.

It doesn't matter. It is very hard to crack them. They are compiled applications. HTML5 is not.

There are other ways. Making frame applications could solve the issue. Little bit hard work but only once. They can use it in any games they plan to do in future.

Or crypted files which will be decrypted with dynamic, session based keys those will be transfered in a javascript code which controls the client first.

Anyway, I couldn't stop myself to fix something. This is their job.

I don't mind banter. It's okay to banter about the game.
But when it gets to name calling, disrespectful comments, or starting/continuing arguments, I will delete those posts. Any more of those will get warnings up to thread bans depending on number and severity.

is there a datcreator for chapter 8 backup? as i've been playing the official offline ones i downloaded from the OP till chapter 8, but now the 9 and 10 are the cracked version and cannot find my dat. i see earlier in the thread there is a datcreator for chapter 6, but not chapter 8. Currently I have been following the walkthrough and have done everything by this point

Is there a way to get everything packed together when this is all finished? I played I think the first 4 chapters but going to the next one the saves don't seem to work and it's at the point where going through the forum to try and piece what to do is just becoming too tedious. I really like the game but just wish it was a more seamless process to keep at it and no get lost trying to bounce between versions, import saves, etc.

I'm having trouble playing Chapter 10. I clicked on the "Browse" tab underneath the 'Load a backup file' and I used my chapter 9 file. The game restarted afterwards like other chapters did, however it didn't work. I clicked on the 'click here to play' and I got a 'File not found'. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

The aunt is a total bitch but....she's hot. So you know there's a good chance you're going to have the option to bang her down the road. But you know there's no way banging her doesn't have some really bad consequences in the story

Nope.. those are offline versions.
People are asking for the online versions. Palmer pulled them to redo chapters 1 and 2. So by the time he's done, those 1 and 2 offline versions that are the same as ours on the op will be outdated.

@Lucius Logan - The cracked or online versions use the dat saves that you can backup. The MEGA links next to the online links are the offline versions.

The main difference between the 2 are this..
1- The online version stores it saves in backup files called xxx.dat when you create those backups.
2- The offline version stores its saves in the appdata/local/vne files.
3- They are like oil and water. Online and offline saves do not mix.

I just found out about the game and the developer removed the original part 1 before finishing the remake.

any ideas for my question last page guys...? also, trying to do them over online, and on chapter 5......completely forgot how to bloody complete that dishwasher minigame....that or i'm tired as hell and nothing is making sense. lol
