but whats more interesting for me is the touch of female developer, for me personally difference between fem and male art is very noticeable. how do you look at it? what are your favs ?
yeah i heard that as well, and interesting enough one of the characters you mentioned was my only interest in the game so imagine my disappointment, that said the are couple of endings so you should be good in the long run.
I for example will wait for final release and buy it wherever palmer will release it.

To be honest, the only character I was emotionally invested in was Amanda. Kathy and Heidi were fun, but just that, fun.
So hearing people saying how Amanda's character got destroyed, it made it really hard to justify me playing it again.
i know exactly what you mean, but still we will never know if we dont try right? at least our anger will be justified

I'm not that big on GGGB. It's not a terrible game by any means but it takes far too long to get any lesbian stuff and even longer to get the lesbian stuff with the hot blonde.
More a personal thing though, I think Eva has done an amazing thing with the game and how deep it is.
My favourite stuff is by another female dev, Sierra Lee. She makes Last Sovereign and has games like Ourobouros and Desecration of Wings on here and Steam. She also worked with Hreinn on Kingdom of Deception. Desecration of Wings is one of my fave female protags. She's a prostitute but badass, Last Sovereign comes a close second, male protag but that game has some amazingly well done characters (no artwork yet, all text sex scenes but the writing is fantastic and she's working on adding art now).
Aside from that I just really enjoy RPG's male or female protag. Most of them are male so I can't be too fussy though.
I'm big on my gaming, have been for years, and there are some places give me shit for being female. Only a few people though, I want that noting. A lot of others do it for fun and a laugh like make me a sammich and shit like that, banter I love. Only a few are genuinely shits with it but not enough to cause offence. Generally the type that send rape threats are kids that haven't figured out what their cock is for yet.
Never had that problem here and I thought it would have been worse. I've had many a disagreement but only over games, never anything else. Again, I do have banter with some guys but they never go too far. I think generally people are quite mature on here despite being dirty ole bastards.
Heavy Five is a pretty good game, Notty is a female dev.
While I do prefer a female protag I do enjoy male protag games (obviously, or i wouldn't be on this page). I just want to clarify that because it has led to misunderstandings where someone thought I only liked female protag games. Not the case, I like any game with great characters and/or writing. I'll even settle for terrible writing if I can watch an attractive character get fucked.
It was always Kathy for me, she's an awesome character. I have my e-harem of girls from some of the games I play and she was the first member, then Cory from MSMR. Few more added since then but point is, Kathy is a goddess, repent your sins against her you heathen.

Well... now that Amanda is off the menu... might as well. I didn't wanted to go that much for Kathy because I liked Amanda more and it felt like betraying her. I agree with Cory, after Nikki, which is obviously off the menu too, she was always my top pick next to Ashley, but I like meat, so I don't like her menu.

This game has mini games in one episode and winning the arcade date with either one or the other dame that goes for it brings great rewards. That episode was great.
Someone mentioned a gun and poison - making mystery games and intrigue oriented plots just proves any book can be turned into something visually stunning.
The appeal of this game is the online aspect, always there for phone and tablet so far, the novel play till you drop as long as persistent data is persistent in your mobile device, the fact that each chapter is a totally diverse spin off the last and choices made some episodes back really make no sense to predict the future, the bright colors that mimic all the other android games, the bubble gum / jaw breaker appeal of the dialogue ...

That's why there are 3 endings with every girl in the game, so you can pick your favorite. Those endings will be further expanded upon this month with the epilogues, starting with Kathy

Apparently, the original release for Ch. 17 was beta, and the "new" update is considered the official release.

One week ago was released the beta version of Ch 17 ; Between this one and the beta version , it change just that this is the free official one , but was updated just yesterday

In fairness, there's nothing to indicate that the engine itself is the source of all these patrons since it's not like there are a lot of unity or unreal engine devs out there with large patreon funding either. The next largest I can think of is MrDots who does work in Renpy and has 4k patreons.
I think it's much more likely that the 6k are due to Palmer, for all I criticize of this game, being very reliable when it comes to releases, and the game does look good, at least better than 80% of stuff on this site I'd say. People are much more willing to pay when they know they're going to get something back for their investment.
You mentioned your partner being a patreon, but I assume the engine wasn't a big selling point for why she wanted to support Palmer, right? At best, we can really say it's not driving most people away, (most, because it's clearly driven @rf96 away).
