Odd. Thanks for reporting back, going to test with the latest nwjs downloads just in case there's something I can't run in portable mode.
I would recommend checking the log for errors, if there's anything useful in there that is. If lakano is experiencing a display error, it might not even be logged at all unless there's a -v (verbose) flag for debugging or something.
If this was this kind of problem, it wouldn't run at all, really.

Is anyone else incapable of advancing the day when sleeping in a normal bed at the inn?

if You are sleeping in the normal inn bed. It’s bugged and I haven’t fixed it yet. I honestly forgot about that room.
You aren’t doing anything wrong. Will be fixed next patch.

I'm willing to bet you'll have the new version out before I'm even done testing the content.
As for the clock, haven't checked how the new system handles it, but it should be easier on you with a single script (either parallel processing or directly in js, depending on how it works) so you don't have to handle every single instance of it being called and then go "I forgot about this one".

haha, I already went through and fixed a lot of the bugs today.
yes, it was an easy fix. I forgot about it during the revamp of time so I never updated it and all the switches and variables were the old version!
now I’m currently figuring out all the writing for new content.
also I moved Satan’s Dom path event.

Good job! If you had a github repo, you'd be pushing JSON commits nonstop, lol.
(Or js-related ones, but I don't think you're going to touch javascript plugins just yet.)

haha this is true. you guys would see "updated, 10mins ago" constantly when I sit and work on it.
I have figured out another fun event/content that I have started to write so I am excited for next update.
The issue that he is experiencing is an event. I'm sure there is a way to fix it in the map too.

So, I added this and I think it's settle. When you open your menu, you should be able to see this next update.

The bench advances time, but not day. It just keeps right on going past 23:59 into 24:00, 25:00, etc

hmm. That’s not right. I could have sworn that at a certain time you get teleported to death telling you to sleep.
another work around until I get an update out is completely lose energy and you will teleport to death and that bed should work.

I am glad running out of energy works. =/ I do want people to play the dom path as well so, I'll see if I can rush on the update. Got most of the bugs fixed anyways.
