i have a little problem with this one... the letters of the game are invisible, i see the dialogue boxes and option boxes and they seem to work fine, but they're empty.

is there a walkthrough? i'm a little lost
As far as I can find, there's no walkthrough. I have done a number of quest lines, though I keep having to restart once the save file gets too big to be manageable for the program (figured out a few causes, not all of them), what are you looking for?

As far as I can tell, the only functions of the game that work as intended, are the individual questlines. One of these seems time based, the rest are either from the "get-go", dates with known characters, or visiting shops. The mansion stuff, visiting different parts of town, etc. doesn't do much. I've seen mentions of special scenes in the forest, but I've combed them over and over for certain traits in slaves and can say, that while I don't know what triggers them (if they exist) but it isn't showing up.

I do have to say though, the questlines are pretty good. Several of the choices/results had me LMFAO. Unfortunately, I think a few spots are broken- choices that don't align with the text- but overall they're very good considering the staff size involved in making something like this.

@brownman , @Lust Demon is right. There's just the questlines really. You can activate some early on by visiting the different shops in the areas. That being said, you can also visit the forest to fight. You can also improve your castle, and buy things for your servants/slaves.

But the questlines really are your bread & butter in the game for now, and I'd suggest sticking to them before you do much else. Once done, you can also go into your servants, and reward them to make them happier, and give them items.

Hey, no problem. There's a ton of material to it, but a lot is not usable yet. Seems like there's a lot of place holding going on. Which I feel is fine, just makes things a wee bit tough at first.

As Renaulto said, lots of place holding. Usually, devs make at least one "keep the player busy" loops before adding too many more side quests, which is probably why you're confused. The personal quests and interactions are the backbone of gameplay right now.

So how do you get the saves to work? I have restarted like 12 times because the game will not save
Click in order: Menu, Save, Saveslot. You have to click on which slot you want. No autosave. Saves can be overwritten by clicking on them.

AFAIK, there was a save bug in a previous version. I think it was for slot 1, but don't quote me on that, I've never had an issue with getting a save. check %\AppData\LocalLow\DuoDevelopers\Debauchery in Caelia Kingdoms 001 to see if it's saving or not? There should be files in that folder called "playerinfoX", where "X" is the save slot. I don't know what else to recommend.

So progression is very streamlined which is nice and simple, some art's really cute and the lovey dovey parts seem nice. Keeping tabs on this and hoping it won't turn out a bummer. Btw when they say "uncle" and "nanny", they mean your parents don't they?

Uncle, no. IIRC, there's a line or two in there about how he took over. Nanny is sometimes interchanged. Her script really needs editing; same for choosing a god.

BTW, after the main line, Alba's "quest line" is through dates. It's kinda weird. Short, but I like her. Also, I can't recall which offhand, but one of the girls has an entertaining comment (I think it's meant to be a flag) if you increase their bust enough.

Ooh, glad there's more content after the festival. I've only worked on Helena's dates atm.

Sorry for the late reply, first a question: Are you guys using very old saves? They have been compatible for over a year IIRC, but if they are too old this may cause a problem, so the best thing to do would be to delete the old ones (you can find them in appdata > locallow > duodevelopers)

Those who have saves too big, can I ask you if you have a clue of why? I have been looking these past days but I cant make the saves go bigger than 180 kb, thats even taking a lot of followers and having finished most of the quests

A lot of the time, it's random. I actually started archiving saves at certain points to make going back easier (less complicated than it sounds).

The one I can guarantee WILL jack up the save file is changing "tags" in the menu. It adds a decimal point to the save size. Trying to undo it, by changing them back, doubles the size.

Having too many story lines open doesn't do you favors (somewhat increases size, slows you down just enough to be annoying). It seems to make the giant save file more probable, but it's been awhile and on the last run I did most of them to completion before starting another one.

Repeatedly spamming "new list" for the inn will increase the size, though to a lesser degree. Same for going into the forest a lot. By "a lot" I mean "go to forest, nope don't like this one, flee, leave, repeat" for days on end.

Side note: There's a lot of options/deviations so it can take awhile to find exactly what you're looking for in a worker/slave.

I really wish I could be more specific. I know what's it's like to troubleshoot intermittent problems; especially ones you can't easily recreate.

If it helps, I have a save file that's 167,283 KB, but it won't let me attach it here. I may have some other examples.

A few of Lucretius are messed up as in quite a few choices have you say you want to corrupt the city.

Aswell as an ever increasing number of the lab rats quest.

Mammas surplus acts like nutcracker ale instead of increasing breast size.

vagaway and vag+ also act as ale of gallentry

I've played up to 2.9 of this game so far and it's still all over place. Saying that the English has gotten better (still needs a lot of work) and adding warnings for choices was needed.
A few points:
Slaves and servants don't live in a barracks, only soldiers do. It's better to just call it staff quarters or something.
Why for that matter is the barracks system so worthless, It doesn't actually do anything and it's too complicated to use. We need an enemy to flex our military muscles, some crime as well, activists maybe.
New characters keep getting added, but old characters are still missing any direction after meeting them. Shouldn't we give them positions in government and tax their estates and wife them for politics.
Ending the day isn't needed at all unless you want to see some number change on a spreadsheet, no one ever knocks on my door (it would be good if an event system was triggered at the start of a new day).
I think we need to have more than one menu for management for better clarity. One should be for the servant and slave quarters, one should be for the barracks (soldiers and officers shouldn't be treated like slaves and servants) and have options for crime and military actions, one should be for your taxes/estate(s) income and one should probably be for governorship of your city (giving certain friends positions/privileges for more money and the consequences. At the moment everything seems clusterfucked in the barracks menu.
Iv'e never felt the need or push to click on anything but the journal in this game.
While I know everyone want to rush the main story, the city management needs to limit journal interaction and pace the story, cheats could be added to disable it.
I like the in depth character development to this game, but I don't feel my actions have actually changed the city. I feel there needs to be a city overview page that describes the state of your kingdom?/fiefdom and changes with your choices.
For that matter are we a lord or a king? shouldn't it be debauchery in caelia kingdom not kingdom(s) unless caelia is a continent not the kingdoms name ( I don't know)

At the moment I worry for this game because it lacks coherence. It's so far more of a visual novel that's had an overly complicated minigame of brothel management added to it. I feel that this game will keep adding new characters and sex scenes for the patreons short attention and miss its opportunity to break into proper gameplay and develop existing characters. Characters need to be found through gameplay not the journal and setting up the city needs to be fast-tracked to face the threat. I should have to build or fight something for my relationship to develop or give them titles and goodies.

1. baddies killed - Itzel unlocked
2. Itzel wants a church (£££) - church built - Itzel affinity increases, story progresses (dating fuck/buddies unlocked)
3. Itzel wants a new title - government tab (currently preacher) - (A) changes to church flamen - affinity increases ++ church income increases + (lover status unlocked new sex stuff)
(B) changes to pontifix - affinity increases++church income increases +++ (purity/corruption boost ++)
Main city overview is updated e.g Itzel is a corrupt pontifix bla bla, every ones horny at sermons bla bla

Some titles can be specialised like Itzel and branch off, but some should be fought over

some event - government tab (Prime minister unlocked) - (A) Abbadon is priminister - affinity increases ++ order/chaos increases ++ (unique stuff- entertainment boost - pop happiness increase ++ new building ) (Lover status unlocked - if not already)
(B) some one else gets the job etc.

sorry for the rant :)
