I don't understand why you think pessimistically about the news. There is nothing wrong with sharing news about the game. By sharing the news, you make it clear that the author is alive and the game is also alive and continues to develop, and then new updates for the game continue to be created. While I agree that information about any given project you might be willing to support is good, the information I shared was meant as Patreon only.
It's up to Mulan to decide how to run that Patreon, and I sorta broke that trust by sharing Patreon only pictures and information for future releases.

My thought process on this at the moment is that if Mulan want more people to support, then he should make a free update on the side of the payment only ones just for information on how progress is going.

If I want to support Mulan, then I will do that through patreon. If people are asking about updates to it, I will answer in a abridged version of what the news is about, rather than linking the whole thing. If they want to know more, then they are welcome to toss in support on the lowest tier there.

It's not my responsibility to create hype or share everything that I am paying for myself.

I agree. No one says that someone would immediately post everything that the author has said over the past six months. I was saying that sometimes news for fans is the right thing to do. Than if there is no news about the game at all.Usually, If there is no news about games for a long time, a hype begins (Example: Oh, the game is closed) so at least sometimes some new news about the game is always good for everyone (And for the author for the game and the fans)

I agree. Mulan is a good author. Mulan tries to listen to what they say (Sponsors and fans) because of the normal attitude of the author, the game Defenestration is even more interesting. (And again I agree. Some authors would learn from authors like Mulan. And maybe you could understand that you need to communicate with your own (sponsors and fans) and it is desirable to communicate in a human way )

With the exception of one (which cannot be compared in artistic quality to Defenestration since it has a LOT less work but a very good story), most games update every 5 or 6 months. so ... it seems quite normal the times that Fresh Mulan takes to finish his updates considering that only he draws (and programs?) and has a collaborator in the part of the script. in that aspect this game is flawless on both aspects. It also adds humor that makes the journey fun, in addition to the fact that the characters are also interesting and have a development. i dont really understand the hate against the dev in this thread. actually this is one of the most toxic corners that i saw in this site
finally clarify that it is preferable to wait for quality content than to play any generic game that abounds in this place. there are not so many games that really have personality and propose something different. i know this personally bc i played a LOT of these games and only a few are this good.

Yeah, I completely agree with you. Mulan is reactive, takes notes of what his fans say and propose, is proactive and delivers quality work. I'm a long-time fan of Kingdom of Deception and even if the devs of this game never communicate and the work they deliver has recessed in quality, there is less outrage in their thread than here.
I wouldn't dare put Mulan on the same level as Akabur (though sometimes Mulan's work exudes quality just like Akabur's), but he/she is still doing one of the best porn games I've ever seen, leagues away from Noxian Nights, and that tells something.

I completely agree. Therefore, I am waiting with interest for an update for Defenestration.

Yes, he is doing Star Channel 34 (34 for the rule34 of course). I said that a while back, and how tiresome it is to read all of the comments hating on him. I can only venture a guess that because the game is this level of quality, they feel the need to beat on Mulan that much harder in between updates.
