I started it got confused at some point came in here a while back to see where I lost myself. Then decided I would wait hoping the "paths" would get fleshed out and cleaned up then came back to it only to see even more of the same. Would seem much cleaner and easier for people to have less paths. My time is limited and between RL then sitting here keeping up with other game updates replaying a game as many times as yours would need is to much. I can see 2 playthroughs maybe even pushing 3 the average player would be fine with but 35 is a bit unrealistic and thats saying it nicely. I would prefer spending my time on a longer game with a single playthrough then going back over and over just to get the rest of the scenes. I play mostly harem games and it seemed to me from the banner shot this would be one so I tried it but I think this will be added to the short list of ones thats just too time consuming to make it worth playing.
I understand. I don't think our game is any more time-consuming than some of the standard narrative games if taken as a whole. Our game has more branches, but the narrative told in each branch is much shorter than a game which has less branching but a much longer narrative. The choices in our game are very consequential to the story so that means branches rarely connect back to themselves. However, since each narrative is shorter, a player could play through several branches in one sitting which is something one couldn't really say about other games. Using the CTRL button to skip through scenes that you've already encountered will speed up the process too.
As for getting lost, do you happen to remember where that occurred? That kind of feedback is helpful to me in structuring the game and I usually pass that on to Rando to compose new scenes if it seems like we have a narrative gap.
Future updates will incorporate additional tools in-game to help guide players through the various branches, if they choose. The nature of a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure story means that you go back multiple times to see how events would have played out if you made different choices. That structure enables Rando to explore different taboos and see how those taboos influence the characters and the overall Illuminati-esque story that is at the heart of the game. We understand that's different than most porn games out there and won't appeal to everyone.
In any event, thanks for checking out the game and hopefully you'll give it another chance down the line as we improve it.
