You guys know that's why there's a function for speeding past text and images already seen before, right? Using that I blazed through iterations of routes I'd already completed to see how variables changed things. Complaining that a title like this has so many branching paths and reactions to choices is strange.

There are plenty of examples of games with more static route structures, why would you try to change one of the few that doesn't?
I am not an English speaker, so there may be translation difficulties. (no offense, okay). The game gives us a hundred options for each individual character... and that's cool because... we can skip it ? There is no coherent, main, core story that includes (at least part of) the main characters. There's no decent animation that we can skip a bunch of the same stuff for... Well here's the big question, what is this game for ? There are no animations. Plot - 100's of choices but all are repetitive. What's the point of the game? And most importantly, if the game is something of quality, why in 3 years it has only 200 likes?

I think you're exaggerating a bit. There are not hundreds of choices for each character. This game would be unmanageable if there were. There are a handful of choices for each girl's path. Lori's path had the most branching and that was mainly due to three separate choices. There were a couple of additional choices beyond those three but they did not affect the branching quite as much. As a result, it ended up being the biggest update we've released. It increased the content of the game by about 40%.

There is a core story, but you will need to play multiple paths to get a sense of it. We are planning to tie it all together in the final path (harem). That said, people who play all the paths and pay attention will have a good understanding of the overall story and what the stakes are for the MC. There is subtly in Rando's writing and images, but the clues are all there.

This game is for people who want a different porn VN experience. Rando and I both love CYOA narrative branching, so that aspect will never change. Most games are not like this and while some people criticize that, we feel it is a strength. There are hundreds of games that will give players a very predictable experience because they don't deviate from the standard game dynamics and porn game tropes. We are interested in creating something different and unique. We think we've been successful in doing that. Besides, we don't measure our success in "Likes."

The game gives you many options for each character, and that's cool because it means you can play their route again later and still have a pretty different experience. Little choices here or there can snowball and suddenly that route has them interacting with others they didn't the first time and now you're getting different scenes and endings.

The 'skip already seen' option means you can blast through what you've seen before and be making different choices (thus experiencing different things) quickly. And yes, that's a good thing.

Character routes focus on individual conflicts, right now so? The weeb gamer love interest isn't going to care about the your brother's big-breasted barkeep girlfriend or a swimming competition. She has her own conflicts to worry about. On what stone slab was it engraved that you needed a central unifying conflict right off the bat? FFS, Summertime Saga didn't start working on the 'what happened to dad' maIin plot line for *years* and it still doesn't matter to 90% of the characters in the game because they have their own shit to care about. You could say that Yakuza family who more or less runs the town is the unifying antagonist force. They're involved in pretty much every conflict in some shape or form.

As for likes? I've played the game from start to finish and you using it as a metric is the first time I even thought about there being a like button.

Spot-on take. You nailed it.

Also important to consider is that each girl's conflicts will cause the MC to interact with those conflicts and obtain a different set of experiences with the city, the people around him, and the Hanayama Family (which you correctly surmised is at the heart of the conspiracy). By playing each path and seeing the different outcomes for the MC, the events start to coalesce into an understanding of what is happening in Lux City.

Uh i am a bit confused, the game description obviously states Male Protagonist but in tags i see Male/Female Protagonist and Multiple Protagonists.

Can someone explain for me?

Yeah, that's the result of salty people who insist that because players have to make a single choice for each of three characters besides the MC (one of whom is female), that means our game is female protag and multiple protag. It's three choices out of dozens in the game, so we've always fought those tags because we think it misleads players.

Our game has gotten reported a lot for that despite the fact that we've explained our reasoning in the past.

The MC in our game is not intended to be a self-insert character at all. The story is told from a third-person perspective and we follow the MC for 90% of the game. However, we do follow the actions of supporting characters for certain scenes.

Why does this game have a 'female protagonist' tag when the main character is male?

That is because you have to make a choice or two for a couple of girls which made a few people on here very upset to the point they whined over it not being pointed out.

In their eyes, making 1 choice deems that character a protagonist.

I don't get it either but some people on here are super sensitive about stuff.

It's weird.
