I went through it with MTool back in the day. Went pretty well really. Still MTL, but ya know.

NOTE: I can't remember any issues using MTool, so if this MTL is as broken as you say ... might I suggest running up a RAW somewhere and MTooling it. Game ain't that large, so free version worked.

H-Sharing I believe will have the latest version, although you'll need to sit through some adds infested DL sites as per usual.
