On a more positive note, I'm really curious on what the dev has in mind when they mentioned that while they can't use facehuggers due to it being an existing IP (and under the protection of the House of Mouse... wouldn't wanna piss that mouse off) but had something (of a similar vein?) in mind.

The design of the alien's facehugger is copyrighted, but you can't copyright the concept of a creature that grabs your face and shoves an appendage down your throat.
You can actually use something similar to a facehugger, but there's a certain threshold of difference you need to cross (~20% iirc)

D-E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N : Love how the animations are coming along (and, well... the game itself really, nicely done!).

Did want to ask, did you have any musings (or perhaps already envisioned?) on adding restraints as a persistent mechanic?

I ask because when Ivy is subjected to the BJ animation I noticed the thug slapped some cuffs on her during said animation (nice touch btw), so was just wondering if perhaps there was a potential mechanic in the game's future where you need to find either a key or bobby pin (Skyrim flashbacks to lockpick minigame hooooooo~!) to unlock the cuffs 'or' if the use of cuffs/etc is (at least at this envisioned stage) purely for aesthetics?

Short answer is no.

Longer answer: Not outside someone tossing you their copy, which.... isn't the smartest idea with how easily traced that is. There had been a couple of guys attempting to crack it, but they largely resorted to just harassing the dev for pointers as far as I saw, which went about as well as you'd expect.

If you meant version 12 in general, the answer is: no, unless some (paying) subscriber is sharing it, which is generally not tracable.

You're literally just repeating what I said with a needless differentiation; even if people are willing to settle for the censored version, you're only removing one minor facet from the larger issue. Doesn't change the answer.

I see free previous versions as a fine compromise between the dev and non-paying audience
if there's exclusive content cut away, it's gonna be pirated
but if it's full version, there's little reason to pirate a newer version, in the end anyone can get the game, even if DZ takes a bit longer between latest and free build than average
throwing in newer versions of games that go public is kinda being a dick tbh, since full access to previous versions is bit like an unspoken agreement
Carnal Instinct struck a silent agreement like that I believe, f95 gets the Steam releases of the game, and thus no one bothers cracking through for the Patreon versions, which don't offer anything meaningful as exclusive either
