Then what's even the point of buying his game on Steam if, in terms of quality, it's nowhere near the level of extraction shooters from big studios, and the NSFW content has to be bought separately on Patreon? What exactly does his game offer that other games in this genre from larger studios don't? I think it's pretty clear to all of us here that the NSFW content is the main selling point of the game, and the developer is hiding it behind a paywall. Honestly, that just seems kind of dumb. Why not try to engage more with the community and potential players?
At the same time, I can't say the game isn't progressing — I was actually impressed by the prologue level. Yes, it was done at a fairly average quality level, but still, it felt fresh and different for a game like this. But it also creates the impression that, on one hand, the developer can impress us, but on the other, it took him this long just to make that?
Of course, I don’t want to criticize the project too early — there’s still a chance the developer will deliver on his promises in the end. But so far, there’s little reason to be hopeful.
