Dev's take on NSFW on Steam clearly shows they are simply lazy and quite comfortable with the current situation - basically doing nothing and getting money for free.
I would cleanup and adjust NSFW parts to release game on Steam including adult content. Sounds huge but in reality it shouldn't be much. First of all tentacle sex should be removed. You don't need to remove tentacles themselves, just the sex part (after losing struggle minigame) can be converted into "dragging underground and death" animation (making game even harder). Human sex mechanic through those dialogs already should pass as consensual, but it can also be expanded on merchants (if merchants are converted into male npcs and not some stupid holograms with AI generated girl images) like "ask for a discount" dialog line. No rape and bestiality basically, egg laying and pregnancy (even from humans) should go away too.
But for that to happen the game should have more "gaming" content and a dev that actually cares. Weapon constructor and cyberware look fun but they don't add anything to missing gameplay and aimbotting oneshotting bots - I could go with a single preconstructed gun and night vision googles. More various quests (with sex), more merchants (with sex), better designed maps, optimization of course. And this game could be something like a Bright Memory but for NSFW survival genre.
