This is more like a guy tells you it will be delivered tomorrow but you refuse to leave and stay in the store asking him every 5 minutes:
"How much longer will it take?", "Are we there yet?"
So the frustrated store owner tells you anything just so you would shut the fuck up.

You have to understand that the other 99% of the people who do also enjoy this game are not at all concerned.

You need to develop your brain, think too narrowly. You also support such lawlessness.

To be honest, I'm not entirely convinced you understand why people are concerned.

It is literally nothing like what you just said at all. Like it isn't even remotely close. In fact this might be the dumbest possible comment about this game in the last 125 pages.

For those people, who support him on patreon and "miss" some kind of feedback towards the development of the next release and express their frustration and anger - this is understandable and no one can deny that.
People pay and thus support him in doing what is liked and thus demand an exchange - in this case any information towards the product itself.

On the other hand, people do know that this kind of behavior might come out disrespectful or mentally pushing towards the audience, especially the developer itself - this is also understandable. But giving him stress is also a method to alert him that he has to deliver, and rightfully so.

I just needed to add something to all this, many people are keep thinking like this... I dk why people think that, when you support someone you are buying a product from him/her, this is very wrong thinking, you may expect this to develop into a product, but mainly you are giving him/her a shoulder, because you liked what you saw and hope this can continue, another thing is that this is not a big developer or someone who have a big name in the industry or money, in many cases it's someone who just try something else or his/her passion, but don't have the means to do so, it's foolish to expect them to deliver everytime, the only thing you should expect for sure is clear responses to your questions and not shady answers, this is not a business transaction or exchange, it's a support... Also in many cases this is not their main job at all and can't take it as one, because don't accumulate enough resources. Of course it's your choice to support or not that's why it's called support, not buying and yes it's normal to tell and be angry, if someone is lying to you, but not just because can't deliver on time...

I am, and also i want to think that a vast majority don't have cum for brains, hence the 99%.
Most people don't think about porn 24/7 especially when it comes to an update for a visual novel. Investing weeks or maybe even months on complaining about something you're going to spend 25 minutes on playing does not seem like a good use of your time.
At the same time there's thousands of people enjoying this game and i can only see like maybe 20 unique users voicing their outrage so i think the 99% estimation even though it was greatly exaggerated might actually be spot on.

There is something you folks need to realize about Patreon and Subscribestar as a whole: When you sub to someone, you are not buying a product. You are offering a creator some pocket change so that they can spend more time working on their project without going homeless. You are NOT standing in a store exchanging money for a bundle of banoonoos, you are helping someone out. Them sharing what they are working on is an eventual result of that support. They are not obligated to follow a release schedule because you are not buying that creators product, you are donating money to them.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

The platforms and creators succesfully managed to make people think that way. Its the same thing across all of crowdfunding and it makes sense, if they got like a few hundred bucks per month to pursue their hobby/passion next to their normal work.

However with devolopers like Ero, we are talking about similar amounts to what many people earn in their fulltime job, probably more. E.g. looking at Ero, after Patreon takes their cut, he probably gets around the same amount of money as the average person earns per month in an eastern european country, e.g. Romania, Poland etc.

Also, he specifially set a Patreon milestone for:
Reaching €1500 per month will enable me to spend all my time developing games.
Its hard to imagine someone working full time on a game and being so completely unable to keep his ETAs.

I really like the game and I wish the developer all the best, but these past few weeks just look exactly like what we've seen from the scammer/milker devs.

Not gonna go to far into it but a lot of people talking about what support on crowdfunding is or isn't are both wrong and greatly downplaying the support Ero has gotten over these past three months while he lied and failed to communicate. Someone here said it was "pocket change" while ignoring that almost 50 of his patrons are at the highest tier. Meaning he makes over 1k off those people alone per month. That isn't pocket change. Also crowdfunding is a lot more like having investors than selling a product and you are accountable to those investors. Meeting deadlines, communication, progress updates, etc are all part of that relationship. So when your investors are lied to or ignored it means you lose those investors.

Finally, the update is out and I have played through it and I can honestly say it has big A Wife and Mother energy and absolutely was not worth the 3 month wait for my personally so I will be pulling my support as I explained to Ero. Hopefully he learns from all this but if there are people willing to ignore or justify his failings he has no real reason to.
