good to know Bread is a mom man i cant count how many games i gave up on because mom content stopped coming :p
Also He maintains a delicate balance between mind control and genuine lust. Most adult games overdo Mind control thus making Story bland.
Here Story is slowly corrupting the characters and is one of the highlights of this game which makes it stands apart.

Sorry to be that guy, but weren’t the
updates gonna be shorter but faster? But if you look at the completion rate on this half update, will the time it takes be significantly shorter than for the last one?
I mean if it’s just 4/5 months instead of 6 it’s still pretty slow…
As a Patreon, I kinda feel like it’s not disrespectful to ask

I don't know where you got that idea. I don't recall that ever being said.

That being said, if you're a Patreon subscriber - you have both the Patreon account and, I think, a subscribers channel on the discord where a Patreon subscriber would have more direct and quicker access with the development team. Seems you should try that line of communication rather than on the freebie "pirate" site thread.

For real, people here tend to be overly tensed and mad when devs aren't responding to the same monotonous questions which even I have seen being posted numerous times (particularly ones asking why is there no full-blown sex with Leslie yet). Kudos to the dev and I hope you guys keep the same pace while also considering your health.
There are those that look for instant gratification instead of appreciating a progressing relationship between characters. Leslie for example could have subconscious desires for MC in a dream-scape. There are endless avenues that can be taken in creating sexual tensions between characters. I wouldn't pay too much attention to the online flak.

I don’t like nor have discord, but thanks for the answer ;)
It’s an estimation based on the rate it’s progressing so far. I mean, it’s been near two months since the last update. If it’s halfway through (which it ain’t), it’s 4 months total.
But hey, I’ll be happy to be proved wrong
For the record, here’s the current state of progress

I prefer something of a slow burn with characters in games. Builds up the tension and it's much more satisfying when it reaches the finale. If I want instant gratification, I'll just watch porn instead of playing a game.

Update frequency & growing pains of the team
Work started on Jan. 11th (That, and a decent chunk of time was taken up by the business-side of things.)

i also agree on this, ngl, 0.5.5 was told to be a 2-3 month update as its half the size of a regular update, still its been more than 2 months since the update and literally 20% of work has been done

It was estimated that family updates would be around half the size, generally speaking. I wouldn't say it's accurate to conclude the time it will take is half of the last update—we've mentioned before that we don't do release estimations until we can truly estimate when it will come out. Please refer to this for more info. I'd would be good to note again that work did not start until January 11th (so about a month ago) + the business side of things and life have taken up chunks of time. We're sadly not robots with infinite stamina. ;)

To add to the above, the progression logs are used to give people something more visual to see progression. You are free to guesstimate based on how that moves. However, I refer to it as "guesstimate" because estimations based on it will not be accurate. Some periods of progression will move the bars very little, other times they will move a lot. This varies depending on the specific tasks being worked on, issues that are run into, or other things that may or may not happen to take up extra time—like the business side of things.

To expand on the "growing pains" a little bit: I am still not actively working on the new updates, because there is a lot of work to do in the background to make everything work long-term. No one wants everything to slow down later, or even crash and burn, which is why I'm working so hard to get everything to fit together before I jump into new updates. I promise this is for the best in the long run.

Edited: Turned down the sharpness of the tone :KEK:

Believe me, we want to get content out ASAP. However I fear if Bread doodles any harder, his arm will fall off. And we're not just focusing on 5.5 either. There's preplanning, drafting, meetings, and a bunch of boring technical stuff to ensure what we do now won't complicate future builds. So while the wait does suck, and the pressure compounds with each installment to meet quality, it's also kind of reassuring from you guys that you want more.

Leslie will get content in every update, sometimes they'll be big chunks that move her story up, sometimes it'll be 'house events' for the new stage, sometimes it'll be a mix of both. Leslie is my favorite girl and one of the main reasons I stay so motivated to keep working, that I get to work on her stuff.
What a surprise, Leslie is my favorite too :p
(and I guess she's the favorite of many players here)
