I can see this game having a complex battle system and not just QTE battles. The setting is a good one for it with several factions at war. But the dev is not that experienced to pull out something like that, at least for now. So I prefer more story and sex scenes than some half assed battle system.

Regardless of experience it is a question about prioritization. Any system takes time to develop and this is especially important when you have tiny teams (as is the case in porn games). A battle system will take away dev time that could otherwise have been spent on the story and renders and it would (in my opinion) not add much to the game. Story and character development could add far more to the enjoyment of this game than a battle system ever could. I like to take things slow so to me it would be frustrating and would ruin this game.

I mean in the end its up to them.
If the dev wants and thinks they could do it with reasonable amount of time why not.
It doesnt have to be anything complex, just a simple battle system for starters and see how it goes from there.
I just suggest things i'd like to see in the game and make the dev aware of the suggestion preferably.
Its up to them to do whatever they want with the suggestion.
Personally i'd just like to see some kind of interaction during combat, i dont wanna sit lazy and relax while while they slaughter people, its supposed to be intense for the player too, adding that stress in the game.
So it would make player feel, do i wanna engage in combat with those people in fear of losing or maybe winning, not knowing what could happen and it would affect the story itself preferably.
I would avoid making battle system like in some RPG games where you collect and sell items, that doesnt sound very good to me i'd give it -1 unless it works very well with this type of game
What makes amazing games in my opinion is immersion. So i think its wise to add more immersive things in the game, suitable for every player.
Most of the VN's are just clicking and almost falling asleep, if you wanna be different i already suggested something
I know it seems pretty ambitious for a small team but im just putting it out there

I saw the first scene of the game and there was no animation. just two frames going back and forth. That was disappointing.
will we see animation further in the game ?
Because I see the "animation" tag
Theres animations later in the game. Not sure is there early ones, havent replayed it in a while.

I can respect that. It's all ultimately up to the dev. I will say that just because one can add something to a game doesn't mean they should add it. This isn't a first person shooter or a close combat fighting game, it's an adult visual novel. I generally prefer AVNs that don't change the original mechanics midway. It's one thing if the added items were planned from pre-release stage, but tacking on more bloat just for shits and giggles? No thanks. This game, through the first six episodes, has already struck gold with the story, characters, and lewd scenes. IMO, it doesn't need QTE or any other gimmicks. This game may not be an overnight hit, but it is steadily growing in popularity with each release. I'd hate to see a change in focus alter that trajectory.

I will concede that if QTE, (like all of the other controversial items in the game), is made optional then I guess what you say is ok. Aside from some episode release dates potentially taking longer, it's hard to argue with something that you can opt out from. The problem is, they already have a lot of opt outs (gore, extreme violence, multiple protags, sharing, etc.). That's a lot of content to work hard on that many players might never see. That would be a waste of time for me in my visual novel, but if it doesn't bother this dev, then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Except it is not suitable for many players (myself being one of them). It depends on what you are playing the game for. I am playing it only for the story and adding what you are suggesting takes away from the experience.

Its in the name Visual novel quite literally means a novel with visual elements (in this case renders). I agree with the other user - maybe VNs just are not for you. If you want a more immersive experience try some non-renpy games having a combat system. There are some really good ones on this website - I would recommend the one in my signature.

I mean, BaD is also a VN but doesnt feel like a sleep simulator, not saying this game is but it could get even better.
So you cant say i dont enjoy VN's, look at my signature
Thanks for the suggestions tho

Speaking from a personal POV, as a player, finding a QTE in a game is for me a reason to go look for a cheat.
If I want to play a QTE, I'll go pick some locks in Skyrim.
I agree about QTE, but I would not consider the lock-picking in Skyrim as such. That was about touch and had nothing at all to do with time, which is the defining factor in QTE. Actual QTE is the worst sort of combat mechanic, unless that is the point of the game. Golf games are one of the few examples of where QTE makes the most sense as a mechanic.

Being a software dev myself: the so called "features creep" is one of the most dangerous bets a developer can take. Especially a feature that begins controversial and is "demanded" to be optional anyway.

Result: the developer stops focusing at what he's doing at his best (and he is REALLY doing an amazing job!) and starts splitting his time into stuff only 20% of the playerbase REALLY wants.

Long term result: the developer burns out, slows down, people (especially those who do NOT pay him a dime start calling it a "scam and patrons money grab".

its a good game but Being a Dik just feels at least level above
Being a DIK is supreme but... to be honest... the developers are overdoing it. I don't mind the occasional minigame, having to miss some of the hottest sequences if you pick a certain path and so on. But it's gone so far, you are almost required to grind minigames (money, skills, pass exams, fix the mansion) but you are also meant to restart the game to pick the other girls you could not enjoy in the current path. And... it's not a "restart the game", but "redo a looooooooooong series of text reading, minigames again and so on and so forth. Yes, it's "optional" but guess what, the minigames wall out juicy bits that really make the game stand out.

Just my opinion, but the MC is a badass fighting dude. Otherwise he wouldn't have lived as long as he has in game and he has a reputation for that. He fights, he wins. It's like a novel where you don't control the hero's fighting with the author taking you along for the ride. Let the devs put the MC in situations that he loses to further the story if that's what they want. It would really take me out of the story if I lost a fight, especially an easy one that I was supposed to win to further the plot. Also, the dev has to develop alternative paths for losing fights, even though everyone would be save scumming, or it becomes end of game, replaying the combat or starting over.

I can appreciate wanting more interactivity and enjoying fighting mechanics in a game, though.

I mean it make first/main playthrough more enjoyable, so i say it's worth it

So I just started playing this and already I am hooked. Model wise everything looks good. The option for dark things and such. Story looks to be compelling and such. Only slight issue is the inconsistency of the Dad/Stepdad talk with Shani. But overall, definitely gonna keep an eye on this future gem.

Pretty much Mad Max 18+ addition. This has such potential.... hoping all the elements you have set up get put into motion. Also all the girls are great especially the wife and Shani. I normally hate playing games in female perspectives but Shanis was a treat
keep up with the brutality Devs
