So i haven't played the last update as of yet and i'm not talking about the specifc scene your talking about, but
as i remember it, the first changes regarding ains for example, came from the fear of the dev to be in conflict with the laws of his own country and had nothing todo with paypal or patreon.
Same goes most likely for the whole violence thing. As it is also not allowed in some countries to incorporate violence into a porn sequence. So you can have violence and porn in the same movie or game but not at the same time. You can make a rape scene for example but you wouldn't be allowed to show genitals or have / show an actual penetration. You can't fuck a girl and hit her in the face with a fist at the same time. All of that would be illegal and might get you into serious trouble.
And even tho paypal would be enough to change most devs choices, going against the law and fear serious legal issues for doing some 3d porn is just not worth it for someone that has 2 braincells left.
So going of patreon would actually not achieve anything as its not only patreon thats of concern here.
The only valid complaint about these issues is that the dev should have thought about all of that before making and releasing these scenes and characters in the first place. As they knew kinda that they wanted to go on the border of things and therefor should have investigated where that is beforehand and not in the middle of development or after first release.
