Whats the point of making a parody of an already famous game with suggestive art if it is gonna be a lesser RPG copy without any visual content? Not hating, just asking.

I'm working on the second big update, it won't include any new areas but it will have three new scenes so I would hold off on any updates. Also the version 0.4.0 is the version without any adult content.



No, I work retail and the holidays took more out of me than I thought. I've been chipping away at it slowly and steadily.
Ah that's good to know, looking forward to the new updates!

No. This was the SFW I made. I'm currently bug testing the next version so hopefully an update will come sometime soon.

It's not a parody. It was an inspiration, RE4 was an inspiration as well. The original name was going to be the Mark of Lust or Spiritual Vengeance but I ended up going with Mark of Death for now, I might change it in a future update but I'm not sure yet.

This game desperately needs a walkthrough, I don't even know how to get out of the mine
Where exactly are you getting stuck in the mines?

If you want a quick guide... After you open the gate and enter the second area, go right. In the third area go right then up to see a switch on the ground, it won't stay down on it's own so push the box nearby on top of it then head up into now opened room. Look for a note on a bookshelf. Once you found it Don will comment then you can go back. Once you've gotten back into the room with the box switch go right into the next area. You should see an area with a set of rails and a waterfall, look up north and you'll find a gate with two pillars next to it. Examine the right pillar to open the gate and head through. In this final room talk to the journal on the table and you're done.

Not sure why it says version 0.2 in the link but it is 0.5.

I'd also like to update the title images if possible with the new ones on itch.io.

The game is very very slow in getting anywhere. And the boss fight in the castle is probably one of the most unfair and frustrating experiences I've ever encountered in a video game. I even managed to beat him once by him bugging out and standing in place, and me being able to shoot him through a wall. Only for a transition screen to happen and the game not progressing.

The game is very very slow in getting anywhere. And the boss fight in the castle is probably one of the most unfair and frustrating experiences I've ever encountered in a video game. I even managed to beat him once by him bugging out and standing in place, and me being able to shoot him through a wall. Only for a transition screen to happen and the game not progressing.
The game is slow yes. I think I mentioned it somewhere on the first few pages, but I do need to make sure that a note is put on the game description saying it's a game first and hentai second.

The boss fights are designed to be difficult, the base enemies in turn are pretty easy. With that said, it's very possible the boss is overtuned or bugging out. It's only me creating and testing it so I'm sure there is plenty I missed. Something that wasn't mentioned until the recent update is: In the room before the boss fight you can now find a note that he occasionally charges, when he charges you can run him into one of the broken pillars that are scattered about and stun him for about 7 seconds. So if he gets "stuck" on something or in a wall that means he is charging you but can't figure out how to get around walls ( I need to fix him again by the sounds of it...) When it's stunned you can use your knife on it, the knife does 4 damage per hit to bosses and you can spam it faster than the gun. I don't that's mentioned so I need to add an additional text box to the weapon tutorial stating that.

With all that said, which version did this happen on?
Since you didn't mention dropping his second form into the lava pit I think I know what could of happened to cause that freeze.
All of his attacks are turned off and a special switch is activated when he charges, I probably forgot to add a fail safe for when that happens. Can fix that when I get time later tonight.

I will keep his damage output the same but I could look into lowering his HP, should make the fight a little smoother.

Okay, first off sorry. I had wondered but hadn't really given it much thought, but the game was running at 144 FPS for me. Thus it was running at about 2,5 times what it should be. After having turned on the setting to cap it at 60 FPS, the fight went a lot smoother overall.
That being said, version 0.4 was still freezing on the boss changing phase, but having just tried it on 0.5 it seems to have fixed the problem for me.

Also a small note. When you pick up things and you are in the dark, the text is below the darkness, making you unable to see what you actually picked up.

You don't have to. But he deals about 1350 damage per hit when all the flames are active, losing 100 damage per hit with each flame deactivated. Once all of them are deactivated he will be stunned for 8 or 10 seconds.

So what's new? There's no changelog to read.

Dianthus - The Mark of Death NSFW has been updated to version 0.5.0.

Three new scenes have been added.

Two Extras folders have been added, both are locked with a code you can find in game and contain unused scenes.

General enemies have been made slightly easier to take down.

Bosses have been given a massive boost to both health and damage. You'll need a bit of strategy if you want to take them down now.

Some bug fixes and typos have been corrected from the previous version.

Ammo now has a limit of how much you can carry, the amount varies depending on what type of ammo. Example, handgun ammo maxes at 100.

Shotgun and Rifle have a longer drawback when used.

More Yellow Tonics have been added in Trighbon and the Private Community.

Various other fixes and bugs.



I'm sure I missed a few bugs, if you run into any please let me know and I will fix them as soon as possible.

Alright, glad to hear its working better now. If any other issues come up please let me know.

As for the treasure in the dark, it's an issue I've had on the back burner, nothing I''ve tried has worked when trying to fix it. I got a few more ideas before the duck tape fix comes in so hopefully by the next major update or small bug update that will be fixed.

As someone who has played version 0.3.0 NSFW the boss is definitely a lot harder as of version 0.4.0.. He takes more hits to kill now then before however this is actually an improvement as in 0.3.0 he died a bit too quickly.

Now the real issue is with the damage that he outputs ranging between (50-600 damage) depending on his choice of combos and attacks, Now this would not be an issue if you weren't required to be in range of 4 spaces to attack him as by the time you fire your first shot he is usually on top of you. Now compared to version 0.3.0 he is also much faster (also seems to be able to bug the games fps?) and from experience he changes his speed fairly randomly. Without the pillar tactic this fight would be a very unpleasant slog though I think you should have some visual/sound cue to help know when he charges which might help with some of the complaints.

Overall I liked the fight but I think as a first boss he is a bit much for causal players as the sudden difficulty spike comes out of left field. If you want to make the fight more fair adjust his damage or lower his speed a little.

P.S (Bug) Just thought I'd mention that once you beat his first phase and he transitions the fade out sequence sometimes gets stuck depending on where you are in the room.

Allright, might just be me being blind, I've beaten the current version but I can't seem to find the first code, is it somewhere obvious? I found the second one, but am not sure where the first is.
