eventhough the majority of people playing the game never have and never will pay a single penny for playing it.
i suggest you edit this part, because if you know this fórum you wont ever say that, many of the people in this fórum support many devs and comments like yours should be removed instantly.

Well, I have to say that it seems more like a story now and not some disconnected pile of plot threads.

The developers have gone though and upgraded their skill set since the initial release, and they're right, now is the time to fix the framework before the game explodes to a size where that would be unmanageable. I would just like to suggest that they keep in mind that an creative talent is almost always seeking and seeing growth in their skills, and tends to criticize themselves the harshest. It makes it very easy to fall into the trap of wanting to rework earlier content.

You've done that once, I think i turned out well. I would just say remember that there is such a thing as 'good enough' and no such thing as 'perfect', then continue on doing the great job you've been doing.

WHAT seems like a story? This version has barely 10% of 0.9 release, and personally I havent spotted any changes in these 10% comparing to previous release. Same fight with the boss in the office and sex with the asian girl.

Well, the earlier version dropped into therapist visit in a quicker manner and with less backstory. This version sets up the boss fight as a central pillar of the story and the catalyst for everything. That was in there before, but kind of hanging in the background. They're just minor differences in the way it plays out, but it just came off as more polished to me.

And while they did cut a ton of content, with the results I've seen from this dev team so far, I expect it won't take them many more releases to get that content back in. But then, I don't speak for them, just my hopes.

Seeing v1.0.0 of this on the Latest Game Updates, I was excited, thinking it was fully featured release...
The dev made a note of that earlier.
He went to 1.0 cuz it signaled a major update to their code or something.
So much that it rendered the entire previous version incompatible

If the dev wants to reboot, then best of luck to him.

2 things I want to say though...
1. I liked the format of choosing who you were talking about, as it gave a feeling of shaping your own story.
2. I really hope he finds the oppurtunity to work in the old scene with Nanami on the couch. That was a hell of a power trip (choking/grabbing hair, you know, rough stuff)

Other than that, let's just hope the reboot leads to an increase in overall quality.

Wow.... Versioning!? I see it mis-used here all the time and it "Really drives me round the bend"!
xx.yyyyb.zzzz
xx
- Projected major release number: Marketing "own's" this number.(This one really mystifies me why it's not used properly, If this is the "first version" of something it's version 1.yyyyb.zzzz)
yyyy - This would be Milestone/Releases, so in this case it would be something like DAST 1.04b.zzzz -> 1.05b.zzzz
b
- bug fix release if needed
zzzz - Build Number. owned by the "builder", his job is to maintain source code and build(compile) drops for "internal" test/use releases, and responsible for "Golden Bits"(builds release to customer base and archival of source used for said build/release) and is rarely given/available to the end user.

Hey, I know I'm being a total asshole about it. I understand that we're not talking about a large project(No disrespect intended). I will always defer and aqueous to the Dev Team(*Provided it's in the Spec!!) Your most likely not dealing with nightly builds with check ins from dozens of developers and hundreds for source files. In any case I really don't understand why so many "projects" here release 0.0.0.0X of anything. I don't care if it's a/n "initial/proof of concept/Alpha" or not. This is the only software genre that I see doing it, and I use, contribute(write code/fix bugs/submit Wiki articles), and test mods for multiple games (FO3/FONV/FO4/TESV/MC/ARK) so I haven't seen everything. I also don't see the use of things like , I'm there a lot, I use it all the time to sync source and make **PR's for bug fixes and deal with merges, even from projects with one developer. This could be a licensing issue but I don't know why it would be since you can have "private" repositories(although everything I work on is done Gratis, and is publicly available, so anyone can make a PR). You can also use the bug tracking system to link issue reports to check in's and PR's if you wish, it also provide an infrastructure for Wiki pages if wanted.

*totally an inside joke
**Pull Request, a submission of edited code to be merged with the Main source tree if the team decides to accept submission and pull the code into the tree. It's mostly for legal reasons based on the projects Licensing Agreement.

If they wanted to "re-code" everything than they should have done it all at once not set us back to square one. Over months we've been playing from update to update, each time something new in store. Now the Dev says "i wanna re-code the game and change some things" okay that's fine but I'd rather they take 6+ months to re-code everything than be thrown all the way back to having 20 minutes of content and waiting for updates just to play through the same stuff again. I get play testing is a thing here, you wanna make sure your re-code takes and isn't a buggy mess but even than drop playtests that are in big portions not just 30 to 40 minutes long.

You don't understand Nanami... She only respects men that will "Take" what they want.... If your a wimp with her she will use you as a tool, if you use her she has more respect for you. It's evident in the office when you can say she's Japanese or Threaten the old fart, then in the car if you apologize for "Using" her she says she respects you more. If you didn't see that then all I can say is you need more life experience to draw from:)

It looks like others have expressed their displeasure at the restart, and while I can sympathize with that sentiment to a degree I for one would at least like to point out that this is a much more refined and fully realized game than the first versions. And while I would have loved to have seen more content if what I played was a sign of the quality to come I am happily looking forward to it. We're moving from rough drafts to more finished products. So while this installment feels like a step back it also holds the promise of a much more enriched game to come.
This sums up our feelings as well. We are sorry for the disappointment, but we believe the final product will justify the decision. Cheers mate and thanks for playing!

Restarting the whole game is fine I guess, but why start with the first rerelease with the boss? I thought most people liked the maid's story the most and were looking forward to more of her (myself included).
I have read enough player feedback since we started this project to know that there isn't really a fan favorite. Each of the girls seems to have a pretty strong fan base. Except for Monica. But after revamped the model, there does seem to be more interest in her.

if there's something that I can praise in this new version it's the menu of the game, it's perfect, it doesn't even compare with the old one, which was horrible. And I don't know if it's just my impression, but the models look more beautiful than ever. Now about the Rework, I don't think the game needed one, but you have decided that and I will respect and don't cry here as a child with no argument ( they could at least try to give suggestions to improve the game :/ ), I trust you guys will make a good story. And to finish Nanami best girl
The models are dramatically improved. We can now render at a 98% conversion in Iray at a very respectable speed. We'll carry this quality throughout the remainder of the project. We appreciate you giving the new release a try and we will do our level best to meet expectations going forward. We truly do want to make the best product we can.

Just wondering. But why not let us name the main character?
Was it an artistic choice or a technical one?
I suppose it was more of an artistic choice. Because our intent is to create a series of these games with different MCs talking to the therapist, we felt it was necessary to have a singular name for the patient. At a later date if we can see our series to fruition it will be important in helping differentiate one patient's story from another.

I don't understand this question. I can name the MC at the start just fine.
You must have downloaded a patch and forgotten because there is no such feature in our game.

I knew that this was going to start again from scratch, I knew that this was going to be without the Wincest content due to patreon's ethical fascism, but to say that this "update" isn't still disappointing, would be lying.

I honestly don't see enough changes in render quality to justify (from my pov of course) doing it all over again.

It just feels incredibly disappointing, not to mention that I hate censorship of any form, even if self-inflicted due to patreon, to have to wait months and months until we will reach the same point in the story again.
(Apparently RomanHume thinks it will happen way faster, which of course I'd be glad for, but not sure unexpected problems might change that very optimistic approach).

I will say this, the devs have done good work up until this decision that I really can't find myself supporting, so of course I'll wait and see, but it won't be as high on my list as it was before the hiatus and revamp.
We're sorry we've disappointed and I genuinely mean that. You have been one of our vocal supporters for some time and we've always enjoyed reading your feedback in the thread. Hopefully, four or six months from now we can climb back up higher on your list. We do expect production to proceed faster from here though. We'll keep our fingers crossed and hope to continue receiving your valuable feedback. Salute mate!

first of all you will have some months releasing content that was already in the game (even if improved is still the same old content, meaning almost having updates of what you have already played can make some people consider being a patreon or quit)

second, I never intended to make offense to you by saying that you have few support behind, on the contrary. What i intended to say is that this will be more harmful since you cant get help to put the old content back in the game faster.
even if you never intended to get help to start from, for me it was clearly an error by your part to do this "rework", maybe and i hope is the case in a future you can come back to this comment and say how wrong I were.
Best of luck.
No harm, no foul. At the end of the day, we had to do what we felt was in the best interest of the project and we hope it doesn't discourage people from checking out our future releases. Thank you for taking the time to respond though, we appreciate the feedback. Truly! Cheers mate.

Usually, I'm not one for posting comments, but after reading into some of the comments on the latest update I feel a need to express my thoughts.
First off, I want to thank the developers for chosing, what I felt, makes for a more intuitive kind of gameplay. The dicision to completely remake the games structure couldn't have been an easy one. It's a pity the new release doesn't feature the amount of content the last one did. Still, I get that the developers choose to release a trimmed version with the new game mechanics in place over releasing it with all content updated, since this would have meant postponing on the release for an unnerving amount of time with the same kind/amount of disgrunted comments on it's release. At least they're keeping us informed, and they're being honest with us.
As for the disappointed people expressing their disdain towards the developers, show some appreciation for people who are actually making an attempt to create a better experience for you to have, eventhough the majority of people playing the game never have and never will pay a single penny for playing it.
Thanks for the support mate! And I think in time a lot of other people will come to share your perspective. I know we do. The reason this release was pushed out now was because we owed our patrons something. They had been faithfully standing by us during our black out and we wanted to get them something, anything into their hands. There were no surprises (at least there shouldn't have been) and we do our best to communicate at several steps along the way. At the end of the day, there is nothing else we can do but continue hammering out code.

Thanks again mate, we appreciate it!

A very profound and excellent point! And if we had felt that our skills had only increased incrementally and not exponentially, we would not have felt the need to drive out the beta. But as it was, we were seeing a clear difference in our final output and we wanted consistency.

And you are right, I believe in striving for excellence but perfection is unattainable and we know that. We've taken a vow among ourselves that no additional rework will be done. We have too many more story ideas to burn away years on this single tale.

Salute mate!

No, you\'re absolutely right. We want to push through the reworked content as quickly as possible so that we can proceed with the new content ASAP.

If the dev wants to reboot, then best of luck to him.

Scenes from previous version will be updated and included in the beta. So the couch scene with Nanami will definitely be reintroduced. But we are also taking those existing scenes and expanding them in depth and scope. So this means more dialogue choices, more story, and definitely more sexual options.

If they wanted to "re-code" everything than they should have done it all at once not set us back to square one. Over months we've been playing from update to update, each time something new in store. Fortunately you have the option of waiting six months before downloading another release. That power is entirely in your hands friends. But not everyone agrees with you. Some people wanted the game now, and they got it. We can't please everyone, but it sounds like you can please yourself by simply waiting a longer period of time between downloads.

I see 1.0 and am excited, because I really liked this game. Downloaded it, noticed some differences at the start, plus the deeper story that feels more coherent, I'm playing along ready for more and then it is done...
I'm disappointed, don't get me wrong I understand the reasoning, but I think it would be better to call this 0.1.0 rather than 1.0.
Especially after .9 with so much content, it's misleading and upsetting to people who have supported this.

Generally I think people wouldn't be nearly as upset with the change if the numbering weren't so misleading.

Just my two bits

just like myself, download without reading other people respond and well shocked after playing.
content of 1.0.0 is lesser than 0.5.0
no complain now, the game is reset by the developer hahahaha....

Agreed - calling it 0.1.0 would have been a better fit, though on the upside this should lead to future versions getting put out faster, as all of the information is there - it's just a matter of compiling it appropriately.
