Kind of at a loss why the Prequel is a thing. Love the base game so far but the Prequel has me a little concerned for the project's future with sudden protagonist, art, and tone shifts leaving me underwhelmed. I thought I was looking at the wrong game when I started it. Also experiencing bugs in the main demo doesn't help.

Yes, bug. In the only-Demo-version there wasn't this bug. I can't speak to the mayor to tell about the happenings from the Inn.

And i also don't like that prequel, hoped to see the developement from the Demo.

It has both, with 2 stories atm. One is the prolouge with a male protag and one is the story of the female protag. Both are being developed simultanously and their stories are connected, if i got that correctly.

It's split, there's one renpy(?) chapter that's played through a male protagonist and a separate (but intertwined) RPMG game with a female protagonist.

dev posted their new reworked design for the female MC and it's a good mix, I didn't like the first proposal at all and this is much better

I don't know what's happening anymore.

A game starts with a gorgeous female MC and with so much potential. A mystery island that the MC has to explore.
Suddenly, there is no gorgeous female MC and the story is not about her.

Slutcraft made the same mistake. They changed the MC which means they changed the whole game. Didn't make sense.
This one doesn't make sense too.

They're doing 2 parallel stories. One with the MC we know and love - no updates there. And one with a new character who helps build the place where the original story takes place - a prequal. It's like they're making 2 games that you can play in one. But I agree with you, I'm more interested in the original. But I would also play the new one separately.
