Well people should just consider this update as the true initial update (full-time development), since Gumdrops basically added cut-content and did some under the hood stuff, meaning new UI, gallery, etc. This update was also oriented to fill gaps, inconsistencies within the story, i.e. like the first day for the son and if you opted not to go to the party as well as to improve game-play and graphics.

In short, this update might serve as a structural update that will up the ante for future updates, and increased length of game-play (content-wise).

I'm not going to be too harsh on him before I play the latest update but what's more unnerving is that he's ignoring messages on Patreon. The communication is one-way which is terrible... my money is good for him, but he can't find 1 minute to reply to a message?

It's entirely up to you if you want to play his game each month, because f95zone will provide the game for free, but as far as being worth the wait, the phrase is pointless. Either you wait the one month and play the game with updated graphics, or you wait two months, when he's done updating graphics and has re-focussed on the story.

If you're supporting him through patreon and dont want to support him this month ... then don't.

If he decided to take a month off development of the game (he hasn't, this is a hypathetical), you could choose to play when he updates or you could choose to not play the game.

I really don't understand why you guys are so bent out of shape by his decision this month. He hasn't abandoned the game and he hasn't taken the story into a completely different direction. If you guys think you'll be so disappointed by the update then, as i said before, just wait till the august update arrives.

Don't take it personally. If you read back, this discussion has been going on for a while, with (different) people saying/asking something similar almost every day the past week. That's probably also why he didn't quote you personally, but instead did some general venting.

Well that's bad @fredoo04, from what I've gathered I have seen Gumdrops being active in other pages, such as fenoxo's and loverslab and he seemed pretty active in those, replying, discussing and even granting updates (info only) but even that stopped a while ago, around the time of the announcement for this update.

I disagree. I think it's appropriate for an entity like "Gumdrop Games" to take the time to attempt to read and respond to emails from those donating to them. Or at the very least say they're behind and will get to it when they can or something along those lines. It's ethical and shows common sense when a dev listens to the donors and it's also what can make the difference in the funding level.
At the very least, the patrons deserve a response or an explanation if he can't get to all the emails. He can also provide an alternate method such as "Leave a line in this post and I'll get to the post when I can since I'm terribly busy." So it's not unreasonable to ask for a response to a question and when there is no reply, it doesn't help matters at all.
In short, Gumdrop should at the very least offer an alternate or an explanation to the email mess. That shows they care and they're paying attention. That attention to detail can result in more or less funding based on how Gumdrop handles that issue.

He needs secretary, if he can afford someone like that. Person who just sit 24/7 and reply to this millions emails and messages. Every patreon author needs someone like that.

Actually, supporting someone on Patreon give you no rights what so ever. Other than you make a personal choice of support a creator for whatever reason of your chosing. That being said, some creators better at interact with their community than others. Gamers, customers, whatver , vote with their money. If creators on Patreon make bad choices it will reflect back at the support they get.

If I throw someone 5 bucks on Patreon, and they don't deliver what I expected, they stop recieve said 5 bucks. Its really that simple.

This is probably the Dev's biggest problem. He isn't consistent when it comes to delivering updates on time.


Patreon is a subscription based service, it's not a charity. The Dev is getting paid to supply content to his patreons.

Yeah you decide to support those you deem worthy of supporting on a monthly basis instead of an one off.
It is still a DONATION, only you do it once monthly.

Those that you support are not bound by law to deliver what they preach.
This is not Kickstarter.

I don't consider Patreon a charity, nor will I stay silent when a creator I support disappoints me.
The whole idea of Patreon is built around direct communication between supporters and creators where we tell them this is good or this is bad.. anyone who doesn't see that is missing out.

I think we all care for this game and want it to be one of the best.
Our feedback is part of that and we shouldn't shy away from it.
