Patreon does not legally hold anyone accountable for not delivering what they post on their site.You might want to look up what the word donation actually means. Patreon is a subscription service not a charity. Also, Patreon's HQ is in California and is bound by US Federal and California law. If people felt like they were being defrauded then they could legally sue.
It is purely a "good will" gesture between creator and patrons.
He promises stuff.
And he is not bound by those promises.
You are not paying for a product or services, you are merely supporting someone.
Like a friggen Red Cross.
