I like the game. But the mother is friggin' ugly as hell. If he goes for a remaster, why not exchange her for something that resembles a female human being instead of some rare Pokémon?

Maybe he went for, idk, somethign that resemble an actual mom of that age, rather than a mom figure that look like a 20y something that a lot of these type of games does.

It's just your opinion. Mother is hot and beautiful, and she actually looks like someone's mother. No one said she needs to be perfect in her age with two kids and dozen family drama. He tried to make poll about this not so long ago, and other "new" variant was pretty shitty. He make her look perfect and young. Someone may like that, but it's not "mother" in my opinion at all. I don't need "female human being" mother that look like youngish supermodel or porn star. Normal mature woman is what i want.
Don't tell me that if I would open a page on Patreon just about myself, without ever delivering any service or product to you, you would support me? i doubt it, that's not how it works.
I like how realistic she looks unlike mothers in other games.
That's what got me interested in the game in the first place.
She's beautiful to me.

Well, DOD certainly solved this better. Both the mom and the aunt are desireably. I do think the daughters' design is awesome, but the mom looks like a bird to me. However, I do get your point. I guess he must be doing something right by depicting her the way he did, as this thread is doing really well concerning views and replies. I was just stating my opinion. To me, the mom is the one thing that is holding the game back from being a 10/10.
Of course it's just my opinion! I totally respect your opinion and if you enjoy her, well, that's great.
I can respect that. This is a forum and I just spoke my mind. Doesn't mean I can't respect other opinions. If you enjoy her looks, have fun playing that storyline.

Dev already said he is not going to change Mother and replace all the renders.
That alone could take at least a month.

I've seen such pages, that's fact. And i've seen pages of people who don't plan to do anything, or some youtubers that have no videos. Don't know about me, i'm not that wealthy to support just everybody.
I like mom and aunt in Dreams of Desire, but they are very different from this mom right here. I can see where you getting "she looks like a bird" opinion though.

He is right. But i don't see where he's trying to persuade you to drop your pledge, or saying "stop criticize Gumdrop". He was just trying to explain his view on patreon system, same as me. Maybe a bit harsh. You can, but it's not like you absolutely should stop supporting.

I think some people once start support on Patreon goes into a "he working for me now" mentality, and get sort of entitled to feedback, a say, direct communication, whatever float their boat. But the system doesn't work like that. And no one entitled to anything. fk sake you can support silly stuff such as wreckless eating and watch them eat stupid shit on youtube but doesn't entitle you to forcefeed them babypoop or whatever

Hah, exactly, even i can't understand some things that people can support on patreon. There is a ton of bullshit "recipe" stuff. But i suppose that thinking "he working for me now" is kinda natural, given how pleasant it sounds, and what stuff authors usually write on their pages. It's natural to demand something, because "it's my money, work for it!"
