So.....you keep going and going !!! Don`t compare Kyle to OTHER Devs, because there aren`t nobody, and I mean NOBODY like he (maybe just 1, lol) !!! New Devs should look and read this forum (thread) to understand, that making excuses, telling lies and not keeping promises can create posts (comments) like this thread is having !!!!! BTW, at my over 50 games collection (i mean games in here), all Devs posts quite regularry comments and take correct criticim well !!!! So, take your time and search other threads and see yourself, what is happening !!! I don`t recall seeing you in other threads commenting anything, so how many games YOU play here ?????
I'm quite sure I haven't made 1100 something posts in just this thread alone... You are right not all creators a like, but it doesn't take much effort to find threads that been blazed on fire at times. Such as "Second Happiness". Different creators receive heath for various reasons. A lot of what they have in common come downs to accusations about "milking". Heck I saw even a creator that had 2 patreons that got accused for milking it.

If you dig through the Big Brother thread I'm quite sure you will find Dark Silver on the receiving end of verbal bullets too which income did far surpass what people moan about what gumdrop have. A quick glance at Dark Silvers patreon page today, doesn't even show the income he pull. At least you can't accuse Gumdrop for not being transparent.

If you got a particular interest in my posting history, it take you two clicks to start browse it. And good for you and your 50 something game collection may it bring you great pleasure :p

I wish I could add the "abandoned" tag but he's still talking about the game so technically it's not abandoned since gumdrop is still active.
But I would still urge caution against supporting him since he's had a bad track record of overpromising and not delivering or underpeforming. Case in point, he's done some "extra pics" and stuff. And the "Christmas special" looked and felt like a gallery of images recycled from the main game so I honestly doubt all or even most of that content was new. My suspicion is that he reused some scripts and assets and cranked a small story out to "pacify" his patreons and appear like he is delivering. But he's not. And that's my point.
I know of two games so far that have returned from a hiatus of a year or more.. and both games were abandoned again. In my opinion, the odds of gumdrop actually delivering or even releasing anything drops by the day. You should all know that.
What a pile of horse shit, if i remember correctly(not sure sry if wrong) you was the one who said that if by 25 or 26 january no release come the ABANDONED tag will be up without mattering if he is active or not...
Now you can't cuz gumdrop is still "active", so what, dude we are talking from memories, hell even gumdrop is talking from memories about this game where he's "active"...
Christmas special like i said, simple bait and some fools took it...
So now let's get something straight, let's say hypothetical of course if gumdrop is talking about this game and is "active" for the next 10 yrs but no release, still no ABANDONED tag?!

Oh look, the dev lied his ass off once again.

Jim-Carrey-Background.jpg

On a serious note:
Did the dev ever indicate how he intended to include actual incest content without getting banned from Patreon?
Don't get me wrong - I doubt I will see this happening in my short lifespan, I'm just curious.
Good point.

It's refreshing to see a healthy arguments concerning Kyle's marketing schemes on this thread. Kudos to @Joshua Tree. Then again, doesn't matter if you remain appreciative during the waiting game phase, it changes nothing. It has been proven and concluded many times over, his delays are intentional - milking.

It matters not if you support Kyle in his endeavors, be it financially or philosophically. Incompetence is incompetence. Your perspective changes nothing.

Anyway, to Dual Family Fan-Art thread and my fan-art comic fans:

In lieu of Kyle's unmet deadline. I was considering releasing my last, fan-art comic strip today, January 25th to provide fans something for the supposed, promised deadline. Unfortunately, it has been a busy week and I've only managed to render 8 scenes this week; and I aim to reach 75 images into my Chapter 10.

I currently am still at image 52 so I'd be spending my weekend trying to speed-crunch everything to reach 75. Since I render using a potato-powered laptop, each render will take at least 45 mins-to-hour and a half. Roughly around 23 hours (if, hour each) + 3 to 4 hours of editing/dialogue the entire 75 image strip during the weekend. I hope I can drop it late Sunday evening or early Monday and finally end this tedious hobby of making Dual Family comics for fun.

This is what my latest render, comic10_52 looks like.

Guess which hole Daddy is going to penetrate and is making our baby girl worry?

Any-who, there's a storm brewing in my city. Hope it won't disrupt my render run.

I know of two games so far that have returned from a hiatus of a year or more.. and both games were abandoned again. In my opinion, the odds of gumdrop actually delivering or even releasing anything drops by the day. You should all know that.

But in December you said this:
If he still hasn't posted after a year of his last release, I don't think it would be a problem for us mods to say "well.. this game seems abandoned since the dev is all talk and no play."
And in October you said this:
Hey.. how about I put this argument to rest???

Here's my suggestion -
If January 25, 2019 passes without an update from gumdrop, I will mark this game as abandoned on January 26, 2019.
And the only way to reverse any "on-hold" and "abandoned" status is by gumdrop delivering an update to this game. And I don't mean 20 images and a few screens, I mean an update that must be well over 200 quality images and 1000 words larger than 0.98 CE.

This way, we can stop the milking arguments
So I say, go ahead and mark it abandoned. Or maybe wait another 13 days if you think he's on the Julian calendar! :)

I second this. It's not technically or categorically abandoned but still. Playing the Devil's advocate however, tagging it abandoned is at most, futile.

You can still be a harsh critic without the need to berate and verbally assault creators. There is times creators come onto this forum and interact with the users. Lets say not all that interaction end that good. Who are poorer for creators doesn't feel like get on here and interact with the users? Us or them? Some people have a bad habit of lose their humanity once they start post on the internet. I doubt any new creator coming onto this forum would start posting without browse the forum first. If all they see is a unruly mob, what would motivate them to even post here in the first place?

And when pointing towards youtube. Youtube become quite a toxic place. Lot of channels that focus on reviews, gaming news and such that rather than try be objective try blow up the next bit of news with drama and flare to attract those sweet clicks for ad revenue. That being said, you mentioned EA who really deserve everything they get in regard of critics and then some more. But so does every other publisher like them that focus on monetize their games with layer upon layer of loot boxes, cash shops and what not for games they charge 60 bucks for up front. But who do you think they most concerned over? Comments screaming abuse, or more influential ones such as AngryJoe?

I doesn't necessary protect this particular creator. I said earlier in a post here; last time I supported his patreon was over half a year ago. I told people their best argument is to vote with their money. Which I also said in other threads in regard over other creators that getting some of the same verbal abuse.

Would it be nice if he released that next episode anytime soon? Yeah, it would, but it's not something that keep me awake at nights or give me urges to scream abuse at the screen. Doesn't really help much does it? I don't really have a particular need to impose some sort of "oh think of the children", save them from spending their money attitude either. His patreon show when the last episode was released, anyone with two brain cells to tie together could draw their own conclusion how sensible it is to support him or not. People spend their money on whatever the fuck they want, regardless of what they being told or not, it's called free will. Haven't kept me from thinking idiots when I see all kinda shit people spend on, but I have no particular urge to shout it at their face. Know why? Because I spent money on what people could be considered shit as well.

Justice warrior, white knight? Hardly. Just someone that who think its nice to see someone string more than two coherent sentences together for the sake of debate, argument and so forth. Without the need for verbal assaults, and pointless one liners. Because that would both creators and users profit from. Of course that is just my opinion, you are entitled your own and so is everyone else.
dude, the hell are you doing with your life... you could have written an entire thesis for the time and work you put to defend this dev.

No update? Can't say I'm too surprised, but I was expecting something more twisted. Like the next chapter released with
denuvo copy protection without being a top tier patron with the rest of the tiers offered to opt up or wait another month per tier.

On his private website...
Well, there is a German saying: "Wer den Wind säht, wird Sturm ernten."(Who sows the wind, will harvest the storm) Gumdrop simply pushed his milking scheme too far finally. Too many lies, assinine excuses, broken promises and deadlines piled up. His sheeps are finally fed up. I am really curious how soon the update will come.
Because gumdrop either did twiddling his thumbs, enjoying his conman earnings or he already has the update finished and tried how far he can push it until he finally needs to update.

I can imagine that maybe he updates sometime next week or at the end of February, depending how much anger his flock of sheep finally vent.
If he updates next week, he might - might - regain a little bit of goodwill among his remaining fans. If he really pushes it to end of February he can cash in another month of money, but I would not bet if then his house of cards caves in. With his breaking the already massive expanded deadline of 25.1.19 he alienated many of his hardline fans as well. If he wants to save what he can, he must update soon, since he burned through any goodwill he had left with most of the gallery.
Failing a deadline he himself called massive and very conservative was not a good move. I think he overestimated how far he can push it until even the diehards begin to grumble.
