Well at least his patreon are starting too lose hope he used to be steady 8000 + monthly basis and now his patreon is lower then 8000 now 7687 i have not seen him lose so many in such a short time. i he was peaking at 12000 + on monthly basis. i think he knows that patreon are leaving if he releases now and his patreon are not well receiving his new update he could be losing allot more then what lost now.

btw i think he knows that his milking days are over.

Perhaps we can convince Vanaduke to suspend his DF fanart retirement, to grant us a proper preview of the last frame of the DF Saga. Where the Maternal Patriarch and Female Roomate forgo all temptation to carnal desires and elect to enter the Monastary. Thus ensuring the loong standing blue-ball mentality of this 'series'.

If at least Kyle had published some scenes of the Part X -even if there was no spicy content-, but no... the only scenes he posts are three of his Last Christmas. Do you know what I think? That if he ever releases Part X, it will be April Fool's Day.
Kinda funny, because it was people that accused him of just use re-used images in his xmas release. When all 3 images show above have xmas lights, tree's etc in them. Which his previous work have none of. If he deliver on what he recently posted, now that is another tale. Maybe new teasers will expand the hype, or add another nail in the coffin :p

Nah, this is gumdrop he wouldn't release it at the end of the month like that. He'd wait until he collects his patreon money for march rather than release in the last week of February. It's not coming out in February, first week of march, and if not then don't expect it until April, if ever.
With the decline on patreon over time, from his all high of what? 12k? Why even bother with focus on the money aspect so important for him? It would be like someone cut your pay check in half and you just shrug your shoulders and "at least I got something". How much support he got transferred from Patreon to his site or whatever is not known either though.

Because with the amount of money he gathered over time, he could've started using amazon rendering farm, could've expanded his rendering setup aside from the alleged 2x 1080ti and alleged 2x titans, could've upgraded his CPU from 7700k, could've upgraded his internet connection so that he has decent upload speeds, which he doesn't because he uploaded his release at 80kb/s. Only naming a few things.

I don't know about you, but where I live my internet connection is based on what I can get of service in this area. Not what is actually max possible where ever. I could throw as much money I wanted at my ISP, and it wouldn't change anything at all.

I run my own business, there is a lot of stuff I could have done. But it wouldn't necessary increase my effectivity or how much I can do at time I got at disposal.

I used Summertime saga as example before.. What could DC done better with the 50k he pulling a month (before tax's)? Shouldn't that game been practical done already with such a source of revenue/support?

Could you imagine theoretically if he does release part 10, how long it would take for act 2 part 1 to come out lol. Fan of the game but not GumDrop.

That's a redundant point. You could get unlimited LTE data plan with 30-35 mbps of upload speeds for around 47€-50€ a month almost everywhere in Europe, and I'm pretty sure he could get a similar option in the states or wherever he is.

DC has regular streams and has had regular streams from the start, and is pretty much transparent with the development process. Is he doing the maximum amount of work regarding the development of the project? Probably not. But he has his priorities straight regarding the content output and the overall progress. He delivers and is open about how he delivers. He has breached deadlines, but not constantly, and has not lied to his subscribers about development deadlines and broken progress trackers.

How can that be a redundant point? If your local ISP can't provide any better, they can't. There is places you know that just have crappy internet services. The best I can get is like 12 down and 1 up, and it wouldn't matter how much money I throw at the ISP they can't supply any better.

I said before, some creators is better at social media and community building than others. Imho DC's biggest crime (figure of speech, not actual) was roll over to Patreon and let them dictate the game. Others stayed through to their creation despite of Patreon.

You are not stuck with a single ISP in 2019, unless you are in Murmansk, Yakutsk or Mogadishu. You can get various LTE, 4G and other means of internet service for under $100 a month that offer decent upload speeds.

This is also the case with the other things that I tried to point out earlier; there was never any explanation of why the situation with his uploads was the way he kept it. There was never really any proof of purchase of gear or whatever he did with the money he got from his supporters. Not that posting proof was an obligatory thing, but with his release dynamics, at this point I'd really like an official statement regarding the development process: what gear is he using (video proof, pictures), how many hours of work is he putting into the project a day, what are his rendering settings and why is the rendering of 2400+ 4K images taking such a long time; can he make the process more effective, can he use a cloud-based rendering service and what are the overall plans to make the development cycle faster. Because, with this tempo of releases, we are looking into a decade long project.

My internet is limited to dsl through old copper net, if I want to stay land based. Sure, I can get 4G, but then I get capped hard at data limit, I can use. And if I go above that cap, it cost like an arm and a leg. If his internet service is crappy, then using a rendering farm would be quite a crappy solution too.

I got a few pledges on Patreon, I don't really care if they use the money for bubble gum or toilet paper, or pay for their kids diapers, or what they spend them on. If they say they spend it on x and y, yeah sure, whatever. doesn't really care. And no I don't support GD on patreon, did like a year ago though. If a creator want to be more transparent in what they do and how they do things, sure, good for them, it help build their community. But imho they not required to file time lists and whatever to show us, they are not employee's of any of us.
