So... A creator can keep their game off the abandoned list indefinitely simply by posting something every so often on Patreon giving people false hope? Promising and missing deadlines doesn't count against them at all?

Suppose there is a creator. They get a pretty good sized Patreon following they got rolling in.

Then one month they say on Patreon, "The updates coming next month... My grandma died"
