The market is getting more competitive day by day. IMO sandbox tag is the main reason for the majority of players not to try a new game. Please do not waste your art. However good luck in your effort.
Gonna have to disagree. From a Dev perspective Sandbox type games are a no-brainer.
In a straight VN, playtime is extremely short with all sex scenes not repeatable.
So for a dev, a VN = Lot's of work with very little playtime.
If you do multiple paths in your VN, it's even worse. You could bring out an update and the path the player is on could get no content.
A lot of the most successful games on here are Sandbox games (In fact now that I think about it almost all of the most successful games are either Full on Sandbox or partially Sandbox)
Big Brother
Man of the House
Milfy City
Being a Dik (Partial)
De Luca Family (Partial)
Personal Trainer
Summertime Saga
Cure my addiction
Wicked Rouge
Peasant's Quest
A struggle with Sin
To name a few.
Yes, there are some very successful VNs too (City of Broken Dreams, Light of my Life etc.), but I would say that most abandoned games are VNs, as they are a lot more work for a lot less playtime for the player.
The key is to limit the grinding and very good hint system. The player should never feel stuck at some point in the game.
Most people dislike Sandbox, it's rarely implemented well, and Sandbox always comes with Day/Night cycle, inventory & money management, and stat grinding. Go to X location at Y time and have N number of points to romance Z character, also have some random item and money for arbitrary task. All of this makes for an unintuitive and uncompelling experience, not to mention it breaks the flow and pacing of the story-telling.
In all the threads that have a Poll Vote between Sandbox and Visual Novel style gameplay, the latter always wins resoundingly. Please consider changing to a VN style gameplay or reduce the grind, point-to-click & navigation, so that everyone can enjoy a smooth and easy experience. Your renders & models look too good, honestly everyone should try this. Wish you the best of luck Per<3rsioN.
The previews look really good I well definitely give this a try. As for the potential lesbian scenes, I've been on this forum for almost 4 years now, from what I've seen, most people are ok with lesbian scenes but the ones that aren't will be very vocal about it. For the sake of avoiding pointless discussions it would probably be better if the dev made those scenes avoidable unless they are crucial to a characters' development or the story. People will still find something else to complain anyway since there is a group of them on this forum that seem to get off more on complaining about the games than actually playing them, but the less things they have to complain about the better.
My god the speed of the texts is unacceptable, make it faster please for the love of god, otherwise just amazing, will write a review when i have more time, need to rest from all the good renders.
" I'm planning to include lesbian scenes for all characters, but I don't think that's considered NTR, right? "
To answer this simply, NTR is MC being stolen from, so can be done by male, female, other, animal, monster etc.
However simply adding lesbian scenes doesn't mean it will be ntr, it all depends on how you do it.
take these two scenarios:
MC gets two women together and they have sex, I would suggest adding the option to watch or join (that way those who don't really care to watch can skip the watching). This is not ntr.
Two LIs meet up and have sex without MC condoning it (whether or not he knows that it is happening). This is very much ntr.
A more extreme example would be them forcefully doing it in front of MC with him unable to stop it. (say if one female R-word the other).
tldnr: if she taking them from mc it be ntr, if MC giveth it not ntr.
So yeah that is the rundown on what les stuff is ntr and what isn't. Hope that helps.
bonus: you could even do netori where MC steals one of the females in a les relationship if you wanted, although I think most players would probably prefer having them both and not just one XD
Just because someone likes VNs, as opposed to sandbox games (not sure how a VN even qualifies as a games, in fact, as its closer to a comics!) it is unfair and I believe unconsidered of others, to start complaining and demanding to switch any game to a VN. Not everything has to be as one particuar individual likes, there are plenty of choices here, choose what suits you better and let others enjoys as well.
If we go by patreon support, the most successful game on this forum is a sandbox game(summertime saga). A lot of people will complain about the sandbox before even playing the game.
there is over 3300 VN's on this site and a little less than 600 sandboxes. Some people like to enjoy a bit of grind over terrible writing that drags on forever.

Exactly, people complain about sandbox games, but most of the most popular games on this site, are sandbox games.
Some sandbox games just get it wrong in terms of hints and grind. Too much grind and getting stuck is the worst enemies for a sandbox game. A VN can be cool, but I have seen a LOT of abandoned VN's. It's lot more work for less output for the Dev.
