Porn is something allowed in China ???
Wow... last time I was there, Chinese gouvernment was watching everybody ...and blocking 98% of the web... anyway.
1. no porn is not allowed. which makes it a better environment for degeneracy. If mentioning sex is degenerate already, no one cares if you have a fetish, and you won't be called 'weird' for whatever fetish you might have.
2. China blocks a large portion of western social media, which might feel like 98% of the internet for you, but consider all of those have chinese equivalents(and some of the equivalents are arguably better), they aren't missing much. Also, the reason, according to my friends at the relevant departments, was apparently mainly because it was seen as a way for western companies to take money from chinese people(by ads on free services), and funnelling the money to the 'enemy'. Or as normal people would put it: they didn't want a foreign company monopolising the market, so they encourages chinese companies to compete and eventually kicked the foreign companies out. This way, the money earned by these companies keep circulating in china and boosts its economy.
3. you think your government isn't watching you? Wow, propaganda really is powerful wherever you live.
4. Back to my original point: I was simply objecting the notion of 'Chinese knockoff' being applied to porn. You'd think if something is illegal to produce and distribute, they won't have much of a profit mass producing knockoffs. No, the Chinese porn game makers are mostly working for free or very little pay. This is their hobby. Do you know anyone with a hobby of mass producing knockoffs? (other than antiques of course)
