A quick question, for Dark Mind do I need to download all the following for week 3:
  1. Day 15-17 - Final
  2. Day 18+19 - Final
  3. Day 20+21 - Final
And overwrite the files OR do I just need to download:

3. Day 20+21 - Final
The latter seems unlikely but I got to ask.

The DM patch for the full 3 week (days 15-21) is Day 20+21 final and it was poorly named.

Lessons in love. Arguably it might be bigger than this currently, and it updates twice monthly. Lots of content per update. The dev has said that they will be developing it over the next few years, so it will be gigantic
It is similar to this because the MC is a sensei and you teach lots of high school girls, but the storyline is different. It's darker, the girls don't all love you right away, but it has a lot of similarities to this
this is true in scope alone imo, Story wise they really couldn't be more different.

Ecchi sensei is like a safe sitcom, very predictable if you're familiar with any other other version of the genre, generic but not in a bad way.

Lessons in love is like the Twin peaks season 3 of porn games, a singular narrative experience that is easily unlike anything else on this site. It's a game that is impossible for me to describe here but I cannot recommend it enough

they pulling a "waifu academy"
IMO a lot of negativity is attributed to the devs where I think simple lack of knowledge/experience or just plain misunderstanding the audience is more likely

if I went to the software architect on any of my projects i've and said "hey we're 1/10th of the way done with our project, lets spend a whole year re-doing it" the architect would laugh me out of the room

No one on the team recognizes how their audience interacts with the game. if you asked basically any person what they like about this game they would say "The main character fucks literally every girl in the tristate area and I jerk off to that" very simple

If you asked those same people if they want the phone system updated, about 70% of them would say "what phone system" because they skip those parts, if you asked if they wanted a sliding speed control for sex scenes they'd probably say to stick to the short webm loops. if you asked if they wanted a free-roam part where you can choose which girl to interact with they would say "just show me every sex scene I'm trying to jerk off and nut"

tl;dr I don't think they're evil I just don't think they have anyone on the team to tell them that some things are a waste of time

I kinda feel like you're speaking on behalf of people who's opinions you don't know. Including me, and I really don't like that.

Personally, I do want those things. I wouldn't shed a tear if they removed, but I feel they'll enhance the experience. I'm also sick of the busted aspects of the current release. I like have the character stats page, and I want it to work properly going forward. I actually consider a game not having some kind of character stats or bio page a point against it. Yeah, that's weird, but I doubt I'm the only one.

Also, who is skipping the phone conversations? That's story content. Unless you're suggesting 70% of people are skipping the plot altogether, in which case, there is a mode in the options that does that for you. Though it currently inconsistent on whether it works at the moment, so that's another thing that will benefit from the merge.

Wholly agree, especially on the character bios. I found myself checking them so often in the first week just to keep track of characters and even after they broke I was still using them. I don't think every game necessarily needs them but a game like this they are invaluable.

People invest in a devs vision though - there are numerous porn sites for straight up jerk material but games like this stand out because its clear the dev team is full on invested in their own project. Sure we can lament the perfectionism of it or even cite over ambition but i feel for devs on the site as they are beholden to demands for weekly updates and get first hand frustrations lain at their feet... this is not the case for other game developers in the mainstream and you will likely never see a Rock Star or a 343 Studios or who ever else which makes one of the biggest successful brands of its genre interacting and trying to appease out and out pirates who steal their stuff then feel entitled enough to shit all over the dev team for not giving them more to steal quick enough or having the audacity to add more content or spend more time polishing the project lol.

Its a unique scenario to devs on the site and best of luck to them. Im happy to wait and judge if all this effort was worthwhile after ive tried it first hand - likely it wasnt even done with likes of me in mind but instead better first player experience in mind (lets be blunt, its rough, especially at the start of the game - it was the premise and heavily leanings of taboo kinks which keeps you invested but if you dont know whats coming then yeah there are plenty of other games to try instead for free because well... its a pirate site after all lol). Personally ive looked at this game much like a favoured TV series, had an absolute blast but now stuck in doldrums waiting for my next fix of it but seasons have breaks in between before things start up again as per the norm and im sure itll be worth the wait. Wish the wait wasnt this long but what can i do? Not much and like you say im sure most wont even appreciate the changes if theyve already played the game (emphasis as said likely on new first player experience as you only ever get to make a good first impression once).

Hey, Skummy here, speaking on Bluecat's behalf;just wanted to clear some things up for you so you were aware of what was going on. Bluecat creates this work base don what he wants it to be, and while we may sometimes gripe about him adding in useless junk, such as the slider, overall he adds a lot of good flavor to this game to make it very much unlike anything else when it all comes together. Stats pages, working phone system (in progress), stats pages, a split between linear and sandbox, stats pages, calendars, a robust sound system, stats pages, and of course a deeply engaging storyline that he already knows how he's gonna write it.

He does not placate the dumbasses who skip through everything, if you or anyone else is that kind of player, your views are not validated by the project. As you are disregarding the years of hard work going into this project, however we as patrons still enjoy what Bluecat and his Dev team are doing-that its had many hiccups along the way is normal with a small team. This si an indie developer, give them some slack to make mistakes and misjudgments and then just the later when they offer more expectations and fail repeatedly.

So far Bluecat only screwed it up once, and it sucks that he could not meet his imposed deadline, he doesn't like that he couldn't and so he's not giving another one. Be pateint, know that this is for those of us who actually wanted these features and fixes, and be well :)

That's Skummy out

I hope Bluecat isn't too hard on himself for missing a deadline. I know lots of people complain but they'll complain regardless. The people who are loyal to the project don't really care how long it takes and would much rather he take the proper time to do it properly. Yes we're all anxious to continue but that just shows how amazing the game already is.

Hopefully they're getting to the point now of finishing the merge soon anyway, I'm sure Blue is more eager than even any of us to make that happen. And then there will be update after update of great stories to look forward to. And personally I'm looking forward to the fixed/new features, especially the slider on the h scenes and the music player, the free roam map sounds like it'll be a lot of fun too

All android builds are unofficial, do not forget!

No word on the team member's health, as is their right to privacy of course, we'll know when they're better based on if they are getting back to work, but otherwise it will most likely stay quiet. Putting it squarely, I don't know what they are going through and by all means I have no right to be told that unless the member shares that information. The only one entitled is Blue who needs to know the status of team members of development purposes.

I'm tired as all shit right now so I'll ask Bluecat about if he has any thoughts on what's up later, and let you guys know if its anything of note that you can sink your teeth into. Until then.
