It's neither libel, nor defamation. The original poster expressed an opinion, based on the posters' own personal experience about characteristics prized highly in his country/culture, as to why he felt BC would not be suited to his country.
Libel is a published false statement - the comment is questionably considered 'published' on a private forum, but it does not impart nor declare any falsehood nor statement of fact - it's an opinion.
Defamation is the action damaging someones reputation, caused by slander or libel. The posters comments cause no defamation as no slander or libel arise.
I think it quite ill-advised to be using such incorrectly interpreted phrasology, in what may be interpreted as an attempt to silence contrary opinion, by implied legal threat, even by a third party commentator. I understand the frustrations that abound on this particular thread, and like the original poster said, I'm just here now to watch the train wreck, but please, lets not repeat this particular line again.

I hope you feel better. Dental infections are the worst. I had one pre-pandemic that was so bad that I thought about getting a pair of pliers and pulling the tooth out. I ended up needing a root canal but I still have the tooth and no more pain.

Bluecat should be held accountable for the team he has working under him, true, but that does not reflect his personal work ethic which has been proven to be exceptional in the past. Just because his team has its hiccups and he's having trouble navigating that, as many mangers do because management is fucking hard and that's why you go to school for it, does not preclude his personal traits being anything less, than someone who is just trying to make what they want a reality.

The current status of the development and delays by others does directly reflect his personal work ethic. By not correcting their behaviors and poor work output he is condoning them. He should be highly offended that his project is being negatively impacted by others and take measures to correct their attitudes and behavior. Fire them if needed.

The moment he received money in support of Ecchi Sensei he was in business and assumed responsibility for meeting the goals he published. Yes management is hard but not as hard as he and you are making it seem.

When I supported him on Patreon he never made a single indication that there are consequences for failing to meet a deadline. Whether this is true on not, it's the optics that matter. Other developers have suspended payments when they were off track and got their house in order before resuming supporter contributions. And the fact that you are here speaking for him further demonstrates his inability to take responsibility, drive for results or even that his failure bothers him.

I would say
1. about work ethic.. we don't know what happens behind those closed doors .. so can't condone or praise ..though skummy provides us from time to time with very useful information and from what I understand he is also a spoke person for BC.

2.You're not signing a contract or anything when you donate on patreon ... that's a personal decision , nobody is holding a gun to your head and says "sign or I pull the trigger" he is in no way obligated to say or do anything ....

3. eh.. with this one I'm inclined to agree , there should have been some suspended payments.. at least once every couple of months or so ... but then again he is not obligated to do that as nobody is obligated to donate to him.

If they have to scrap more things or do anything else to accelerate making sure it comes out on time, I will update you when the time comes. I will keep everyone abreast of the situation at large as updates follow, but for now I'm going to give them till the end of October before I approach for a status update. Last thing they need is one more voice going "What's happening" in their fuckin ear.

Till then, we will wait and I will continue to place reminder posts every time we tend to get off track into their cycles. I will be posting that same damn message until the time comes for a status update. To those being patient, thank you and I appreciate you all, and for all of the kindness you guys show to me

I thought the merge was supposed to be the new baseline going forward in terms of mechanics and the game itself. If they aren't gonna include the Character info in order to get it out this year, then does that mean that they're gonna work on it after the merge releases and before week 4, or are they gonna keep it scrapped until the Month 6 merge?

Personally it doesn't really affect me since I never read any of that stuff at all. But I did see some comments many many pages back where quite a few people talked about using it.

I doubt there'll be any proper answer yet, but still.

They will work to patch it back in, but that will be a lessened priority objective to actually getting updates released normally, so its still nebulous as to timeframe-but most certainly not Month 6. I think at worse we'll be halfway into Month 2 or so in wait times but could be as little as Week 4.

Is it that hard to summarize the situation on the main post?
It's so wrong having to read meaningless amounts of trash in the comments to find something dirty.
