No, it is not. It should have been much faster, maybe then he would have actually done something to save this game earlier and not only after almost 2 years of doing nothing.

I feel personally insulted. Some of us are weirdos all the time.
It is kind of weird how upset people are about others who choose to continue paying BlueCat. It's the same with Summertime Saga, Waifu Academy, AWAD etc. Even Teraurge, which has $1 and $4 Patreon subscription levels and is done entirely as a passion project. It's outrage porn about porn games.
Granted, some of those criticisms are entirely justified. ES lingering in limbo until the month it gets the Abandoned tag looks especially shady even considering the justifiable delays caused by life events. You're not going to 'win' any argument or mitigate criticism in a meaningful way unless we see continued, real progress in this game. Frankly I don't even know why you try. BlueCat apparently doesn't like F95 to begin with, so why would he care if the feeling is mutual?

I don't think they're upset at others paying - after all, any fool can choose where they spend their hard earned. I think the upset, is that many people have discovered ES ( and other games) through this forum, and continue to do so, and the lack of abandoned tag may mislead people to support.
As for BC not liking this forum anyway, I believe whilst his dislike is because we don't arse lick or pander to him (well, the majority of us anyway), nevertheless he knows this forum does his advertising for him - so he has to care, in a way.

Not being an ass, but name one delay, not the health of Latecomer, that is justifiable. The health issue might have been real, who knows, I don't, but after that it was excuses or Bluecat was beating around the real issue and speaking a bunch of nonsense to make it look important.

One thing is working on a big update with lots of change/content and don't receive new updates because that, like SummerTime and his Tech Update (Is at least over 50% - 60%) but other thing is merge parts and take almost 2 years without relevant news or sneakpecks, he just excuse about the lack of any information.
I don't care if BlueCat hate us or not, when people search about porn game normally they find F95, click on a game and (at least me) go to the comments, what they read about EcchiSensei? Scam, Abandoned and shit like that, no one will play that game and less pay for it.

I haven't been following this thread at all. So has it been confirmed that Bluecat was lying all this time and he hasn't been working on the game? Not even skummy is defending bluecat as strongly as he used to.

One swallow doesn't make a spring. one update in a year and a half isn't gonna make anyone with a braincell to spare suddenly go "oh it's back to normal". The majority will wait to see how consistent the Dev is. You'll get those with more money than sense sign up but the world's on its arse right now. Prices are up across the board, not everyone's got the spare liquid capital to throw at stuff like this now. Especially at a dev who has shown he'll rip the arse out of it for as long as he can

There has been no such confirmation. Skummy says an update (new content) will be released this month. Should that fail to happen, the thread may or may not be marked abandoned at the end of the month due to 1.5 years having passed since last release.
Personally I think no conclusions can be made until (unless) the release comes. If he has been telling the truth, pretty much everything but the translation has been long completed. If the release is consistent (in quality/tone*/size) with past releases, IMO it will suggest he was telling the truth. If it's not consistent, it will suggest he was lying. Unfortunately, that's not exactly an objective metric so it probably won't change any minds. At least, not thase that have already been made up...
* I'm sure there's a better word for it, but IMO if BC really went so long since writing, the "tone" will almost inevitably be very different.

At this point I don't even know if I am interested in playing the new content. I don't really remember much of the story and was waiting for the merge to play this again and refresh my memory. It feels like the new content is being rushed in order to avoid more losses in revenue. After all this time we aren't getting the merge that was promised and the new content will probably not justify the almost 2 years of no updates.

No. Not because of revenue loss. Bluecat didn't lose money overnight, it has been steadily dropping since the end of 2020. Just check graphtreon. If he was that worried over revenue loss we would have seen new content last year. As many people here have claimed, it seems that when the abandoned tag was mentioned Bluecat started working on putting out content.
It won't. Skummy already confirmed it will be a normal update, so days 21-22.

Not sure why 3 of us are seeing 3 different numbers. Chucked it in a proxy and apparently patreon displays different % depending on where it thinks you are, lol. Must be a site bug I guess but that's pretty weird either way.
Because a few days ago the Patreon number dropped by over 60 and since then a few people have resubbed.
