VN Ren'Py Abandoned Ecchi Sensei [Day 22-23 Final] [BlueCat]

So has this officially been abandoned, or has that label been applied due to no updates for years?

No one really knows except bulecat and he is not talking here at all anymore and has not been for a very long time.
Now with that being said the last """GAME""" update was over 2 years ago and the last special that came out is now over 18 months which is the time that if no update of any kind comes out then the abandon tag goes on.

Everyone just should leave this thread and just keep watch on the "Latest Updates" to see if it ever comes out again.
I for one will now unwatch this thread so I don't keep getting new post indicator for this thread.

Well, I see this has finally got the Abandoned tag. It is truly unfortunate how this all went down. Alot of us saw the writing on the wall some time ago, but I always did secretly hope that this development team would get their act together and start producing content again. I would like to say that they will wake up and do so, but I also know the damage has already been done. The trust has long been broken. Even if they do produce an update, I don't see me coming back. Too many games, too little time.

Anyways, I am going to leave this one in the adult game graveyard, much like so many others before it. I may come back and visit on the rare occasion, just to see if people are still milling around and fighting for this one. Well, I hope everyone takes care and we will see you in the next go around.

Skummy Ecchi I think everyone can agree that Emotions have been running high at times and tempers have flared up resulting in some less than acceptable arguments and words being said on here. Everyone has been given a rough deal with the no Game updates for so long and Skummy is the PR man for BlueCat but we need to understand Skummy aint Blue so anything we say is damaging the wrong person. Thats like attacking a defense lawyer because his client was a obvious criminal and that dont fly in the real world.
I respect pretty much everyone here so lets keep it respectable.. That cool with Y'all?

Upon further looking at it, it's interesting comparing that to his previous days scripts where the most recent had his language and the English one in the same days script file and had an extra translations folder for some other translation adjustments to English (not sure why, to be honest) but if he decided to separate out the English translation altogether (which is fine) I'd still expect to see a tab hinting to being the one for translations. That program tends to reopen what you were working on, so unless he just closed it off or he just hasn't touched it. Could be someone else is doing it, in which case I guess the MTL definitely didn't go ahead.

IMO it would be incredibly disappointing if they're not separating out the English translation by now. No way what they were doing is good practice.

And to play Devil's advocate:
There seem to be 11 tabs open, how many do you expect?
That inference about the MTL only holds if they're not separating out the translation.

You gotta laugh at the fact that this is literally one of the most primitive RenPy games ever in terms of programming, scriptwriting, and graphics

Everyone agrees the programming was primitive, even the programmers. As for the writing and graphics, that's a matter of opinion of course. All I can say is that I enjoy the narrative and would be mostly indifferent to changes or "improvements" to the graphics. Unless change would mean the girls' appearances would be affected, in which case I'd actually be opposed to it.

True enough, but i've already played week 1 one maybe 3 times due to loss of save files so Id really rather now unfortunately. Its a real shame, i was really looking forward to more Himiko? It's been a few days now. This is the fifth day since the 29th of April. You weren't lied to again, were you? Just like he's lied to you daily for 2 years. That could never happen. Bluecat is an honest guy with integrity. He'd never lie to anybody

The patrons who unsubbed in April weren't removed from the total until May 1. So it's just the standard trend of resubbing.

It's a simple matter to change a label for the purpose of a screenshot.

Before I was banned, it was taking him a long time to reply to anything going on in the discord. It would not surprise me in the least if he was sitting there going through old lines of code and changing the file names to D22-23 ect. Then take a screenshot of it to say he was doing stuff.

As Dukez pointed out (here), there is no English dialogue in the script that's shown. That alone distinguishes it from anything old. One could even go further and search old releases for some of the german dialogue. I don't feel it's necessary to go to such lengths, however.

Not to mention, that doesn't explain the images. They're clearly not from any past release.
