And herein lies the weak point of your argument.

The dev is catering to the fans of his game and his target audience.

If there are thing in the game you don't agree with then you are not that target audience.

Very true. This is partially because I suspect there are a lot of people here who are so far removed from reality that they just want every game to be like their personal fantasy. There are also people who are very Trump-like where they just keep on shouting out personal opinion disguised as if it's a fact supported by many while in reality it's just one tiny orange's opinion. I also suspect there are a lot of young inexperienced people here who are only able to see from their narrow point of view. A lot of the dumb comments are basically just like children throwing tantrum for not getting what they want because they can't understand that the product is not made specifically for them and they don't have the skill to make what they want themselves.

Moving on to talk about the game itself, I am starting to get a little concerned. I feel like this is now two updates in a row where nothing much really happened plot-wise after a strong initial release and the first update. I hope the party will be on the next update and it can be the centerpiece event to get the plot going forward.

I usually don't like to criticize length of AVN and are pretty open minded but I am confused as to how the hell this new update take the devs months to make it literally took me like 20 minutes to finish and that's me being on both Meeve and Minas path I cant imagine the poor souls who downloaded it that aren't on any of those girls paths must take like 5 minutes.

Also compared to the first two episodes what's up with the lack of dialogue at this point this AVN has turned in to a slideshow simulator so disappointing.

Generally, in a VN with parallel routes, the number of renders tends to increase throughout the chapters. However, in this case, it was the opposite. I would say that this DEV ended up releasing a half-finished episode, as it seems they spent too much time trying to create animations and lacked experience in doing so.

Episode 4: 724 renders

700 renders in 6 months is almost criminal I seen games who release monthly or bi monthly with almost the same amount of renders I hope the devs don't continue with this downwards trend since I really like this game and want it to succeed

To be fair, I think he did mention ahead of time that this update would be a short one and that he also started dabbling with animations. Hopefully next update would be back to normal size and this one is just an anomaly.

Well, that was a short update for my Catherine/Kiara run . Right now, my MC has less dating success than anyone else in his family. That's… certainly a different AVN experience
Also, my heart bleeds for poor Susanne. Unlike "my" girls, she wasn't even shown .

Very short update got bug with Kiara. My save with Kiara path no scene where Kiara ask for a date so I replayed from start now it has.

Honestly I do wish Ari was romanceable too but not because she is hot. There are plenty of other hot LI in this game. What is more frustrating she has the best personality out all of them for me. I still don't think it is a bad thing and I do like it because of how it bring a wholesome family element to the game.

Neither do I, but I was talking in general terms too. I'm also disappointed one of the best girls in the game isn't an LI for the MC, but I can understand and respect the dev's decision for doing this... got my sweet Catherine, Emily and Kiara to focus on anyway.

We both know Patreon is the only one responsible for this seemingly questionable choice, not the dev alone, so there's no need to dwell on it too much. Other players, especially new ones, however, might probably not be so understanding like we are, is what I was trying to say by some characters like her being completely romance or friend only options would be a better choice.

I disagree about you say how it's impossible for there to be a friendship between opposite sex. Yeah sure there probably will always be attraction from one of them but doesn't mean you need to act on it. It all comes down to the person.

Exactly that. If the women you mentioned had made a move on you, you wouldn't have refused their advances as a sign of respect toward your friendship with them. My point exactly.

I wouldn't say there's too many things I don't agree with them storywise, except for Ari not being an LI cuz of Patreon's wannabe moral crusaders and the sex scenes not having two approaches, a romantic approach and a more maledom-oriented one, with maybe some light and optional BDSM stuff for characters like Kiara to spice things up, but this small update aside, the story's still pretty promising, most of the characters are likable and playing the game is a pretty fun experience.

I just hope the dev won't be discouraged to continue working on it and be forced to abandon it due to lack of funding and some criticism from their fans when they could still pull through.

It's not, actually. What you said there heavily depends on a few very important factors, like the dev's monthly income, their developing skills, the number of ppl on their team (where it's the case) helping them with the development of the game and their PC's processing power. There's also unexpected personal stuff or hardware issues happening IRL when one least expects them that slow down the development to take into account when criticizing a dev, so what you said can't be applied as a general rule in every dev's case.
