I did buy it on Steam, and playing it on Steam. When I buy a "finished" game, not one on EA, I expect my work to not be completely lost mid-playthrough. I am not sure having an attitude about it is going to help here.

Also, you can add those switches in Steam as well, if you know anything about Steam.

I didn't shit on the game, I had a valid complaint that I expressed directly to a dev. This rollout was a fucking mess, and obviously was not planned or tested sufficiently. Are you a member of that team? If not, fuck off. Hell, if you are, fuck off.

Some douche on here complains, then yeah, they've got no skin in the game. The dev complains that the game undersold on Steam, and he's losing money and still working on it? That's sad, but it's their choice. Nobody had a gun to their head forcing them to do it. I don't think I'm too out of line saying that making me lose 12 hours of my playthrough for a release that I didn't ask for, and not for an early access game, is frustrating.

I didn't call names, I didn't curse anyone out. I did say, when confronted in a slightly harsh way, that while I understand their frustration, they should understand that of paying customers, with having unusable saves, crashes, and more bugs than the original release.

No, this is not Book 2. YET.

What this is, is continuation, aka after events of Chapter 5 from Book 1. Wheel of Fate acts as a bridge between Book 1 and 2, aka the events that lead into Book 2.

This isn't a side story, it is expansion to initial story and where it ended. When that armored cunt pops about. This is set six months after that cliffhanger, and you basically continue from there.

Just that there is a lot more to it. You will also at some point through Wheel of Fate, witness the combat scene that happened and events after that when Eliot vanished after that fight.

It all ties into here. So, once again, this isn't a filler, this isn't a side story or rework. This is expansion. Wheel of Fate is a bridge between Book 1 end, and Book 2 start. You're just crusading right now till Book 2 will be produced.

So yes, this is continuation. With every new act, you'll see how things start to come together and more is revealed.


As for save files, it is highly likely they will not work given the size and scope of the update. But... read the patch notes. Look for Chapters Select in main menu, jump wherever you were, or if you already finished Book 1, then choose DLC option. It will allow you to name the character to whatever name you were using, and you can continue.

i dont get that game, nice start and all with bios, some choises, an then .... they vanished all .The blond girl, second in the bios, only see once then nothing. Even the shadow girl gets more, but she is not in the sheets and i liked her a lot. But what is more, Lyra who have give her self to MC as her chosen one just vanishd early and that ist it, never see her again. And he dont give a fuck about that. And now we play a what, point and klick game? sanbox? tactical strategy game?

Well it looks like part 2 is totaly a new set of adventure based on what has been released. I was thinking the elf girl was going to join but looks her & the queen are not going to play any main part of the story.
The additional kingdoom or tribe menstion on the war table are going to be key part of the second part.I have been following this game for a while and I will miss the Queen & the Elf girl.

since there are very few choices what difference would 15 playthroughs do - You removed the woman the MC loves and force us to have sex with others we don't want any relations for - I started a new playthrough and am not getting any choices - did you remove them

I am going to play before final judgement, but I agree that the DLC release has not gone great (haven't gotten to the content yet), and I am very upset about an LI, the very first one, just getting written out for no fucking reason other than the dev changed their fucking mind.

Personally I feel like that will only result in events that will clash with key or major events unless they really don't matter? Which then I think the criticism is still valid that it's a type of filler x)

Totally fair. And you will see that. But Book 1 had to end. What’s being built now is the result of what happened in Book 1. That means a wider lens, bigger picture, and yes, some shifts in tone. It’s not the end of what made Book 1 it’s just not only that anymore.

I have to weigh what serves the overall vision vs. what pulls it backwards. War Table was tighter and smaller. It would be simple, quick, easy. But as I said... I had a question. And Wheel of Fate became the answer to a question I asked myself "what if I actually followed through on the world I built?"

We'll see if you can actually manage to do that. If you can that would be amazing.

The reviewer left out one thing: The toxic culture here, of entitled, brainless members, contributes to a situation they describe and add to.
But of course, those same members don't have the empathy to see it's partially their fault. It's blaming everything else but yourself times hundreds of Wack-A Moles here, the dev has to deal with.

If you remove the toxic element, what's left? Constructive suggestions and supportive members. Oh my God, what an original thought.
I know this won't make sense to most here, especially the 14-inch dildo.

My thoughts on the game are that it's good. It has excellent world-building. One standout to me is that the music fits well in the game.
This shows forethought and hard work for the developer.

I saw this comment coincidentally while I was scrolling through finding my own post and I think you're quite the narcissist. Went to check out the review and it's not as bad as your comment. Mystic could probably dev you in as a champion of the God of Narcisism where you go on your crusade to battle toxicity with toxicity.

Anyway, if you disagree with the review how about you write one yourself? Instead of writing your thoughts that are so generic it could fit under any game that has world building and music.
