Is there some kind of sheet somewhere with clear trigger conditions? I'm stuck on two of them again. I can't progress with Cali because for whatever reason I need to talk to Beatrice and she was supposed to show up 15 days ago anfter I "wake up in bed". I also can't progress with Yamwi because I need to progress with Horace and her easy hints are empty but her normal hint is she will trade information, whatever that's supposed to mean.

On a side note, who is Alisandra and when was I supposed to marry her daughter? I have no idea what he is talking about in the event with the goblin when she runs off.
Due to the way the scenes can interlace, it's difficult for me to know the situation exactly without knowing the information on the right hand page of the journal. It's why I tend to ask for screenshots. Your situation sounds rather... complicated. Did you start a new game after replaying or continue a save from 0.3?

I'm willing to take a look at the save file to see what might be bugged. As I've gone on, some things could easily have gone off-kilter with regard to variables and scenes getting messed up.

Also, you aren't the only one that's said something about how it begins. I'm likely going to rewrite it soon to make it less... porno-like.
Well that's good to know. As for my other post, I decided to look through the code to see what I was missing for Horace at least and apparently I need to see some cleaning event in the morning after day 16 but that was 30 days ago now. It also looks like I need to get Beatrace to even 3 for some unknown reason along with it being evening and the correct day after having a dream. And that is just to progress Horace so I can move forward with Yenwei. That seems like a awful lot of hoops to jump through.

A brand new save I just started last night. As for the character she is brought up in the goblin event even before you meet her.

The code is set for events to fire on a specific day or later, usually depending on when previous scenes are completed. Triggers are set on certain scenes to run in sequence, depending on what path you are on.

AFAIK, all scenes have hints located in the journal on how to trigger them. Even ones that don't have a specific character tied to them are listed in the threads section of the journal. Initial scenes are written into the "Early Days" thread to give specific days, times, and locations on how to trigger these events.

I was planning on having a more thorough in-depth tutorial showing the 'new' sections of the journal and how it worked. In my haste, I tossed the idea because I thought it would make things too lengthy at the beginning. There's also a help section in the journal that explains a ton of this, but not all. I might need to move that so it's clearer.

In either case, bugs still do happen. The hint system is difficult to get exactly right due to the variables and inter-connectedness of the character/thread stories. I appreciate any errors caught so I can fix them.

Do you mean those proverb things? Those are supposed to be hints to progress the story? I guess they are over my head and the beginning days just says check back often.

There are story-lines that aren't tied to one specific character and are separate to them listed in the threads section. I've gone back and redone many of them to try and make their hints much more clear. I appreciate feedback on these in case someone is stuck or doesn't understand. I tried to get more into the storytelling aspect, and it's backfired somewhat.

As for the other issues you are having...

Please report any other errors, omissions, or problems you discover. I want this to run smoothly and give the player as much information as possible without breaking too much immersion.

EDIT: I just did a quick re-read of your post. You said the Early Days only says to check back often? I opened the save file and it says to be in the shop during the morning. Please let me know if it does that for you with the save file.

Yeah, I just don't find them clear enough I guess. I did go to the shop in the morning and just got a scene with the two girls from your sig. I assume tomorrow morning the scene I'm missing for Horace will trigger.

Like this thread I have no clue what this is even supposed to lead me to.

Also, did you note down the other "bug" about the MC referencing a character/scene that hasn't happened yet? The marriage one I mean. I also just stumbled on a scene in the fields with another neko girl that I didn't see coming. Unless it's one of those threads that was supposed to lead me there.

Oh it does say that. I didn't notice it, that's on me. I haven't really been looking at them because they confuse me. Maybe you could at least color the important parts of them so they are a little easier to understand. I still scratch my head at most of them though, hardly hints at all to me.

I did note down (and change) the information glitch referencing the scene that hasn't happened yet. It's also going to be in the 0.6a version.

I like the idea of highlighting or doing something different to make the "hint" section of the threads, especially if someone has the easy hints turned on. That will take a while so likely to be there in the 0.7 rather than the 0.6a.

The hints for the Chimera (and others) will be clarified in either 0.6a/0.7.

It's typically how I play these. I try to follow my favorite LIs in descending order. At least a few bugs have been found because of it.

Soniram, I'm not positive but I may have found another inconsistency. If you tell Cali you want to wait for her first time under the tree the conversation that follow sounds like the MC is nude for some reason and askes if anyone say them.

Thank you. Likely an error with an "if/else" statement. I'll correct it.

EDIT: Yep, that's what it was. Fixed now. Sorry about that.

Looking at it now it doesn't even look like the if elif is "wrong". It's more that that dialogue block is just under the label before the actual checks. It's seems redundant.

Not sure what you mean by redundant. It was missing an if/else statement with dialogue that's now been fixed. :)

Soniram, me again. This isn't a bug but it looks like there is a proportional issue with the goblin after getting home from the city. I know it would be a pain to fix but maybe down the road. She's way bigger than normal. She comes up to above the MC's chin. Unless he got down on his knees at some point. I wasn't going to say anything but it seems off.

She's actually leaped up into his arms. I tried to make an image that looked okay, and I'm still actually working on it. She's got her arms and legs wrapped around him with her hips just above his waist.

IIRC, I couldn't get to a point I was happy with the leap so I made the image in the game to infer he did kneel down.

Ah, I didn't really get that from the scene, sorry.

This is the last time I'll bug you before I get some sleep. I was poking around your code again and I'm curious why you use {size=25} for every line of goblin dialogues and not just what_size=25 as an argument in her character?

Because I'm a new developer and don't know much code. I probably should because typing or copy/pasting that is a hell of a chore...

I can't screenshot it because I'm past it but I think the MC talks about the letter from his aunt warning him about the guilds watching him before he leaves. But I am just now on a Horace scene that decodes it "after" he talks about it before leaving for the city for the first time. Not sure I explained that very well.
