I mean, you joke but Caribdis lurks in this site. He might see that post and go "hmm...you know what, 'Twice in a Lifetime' has a good ring to it."It's... it's a joke. It's edited. That apparently only 3 other people get.
Don't mean to harp on this like everyone else, but what kind of coding did you do to get an impression like this? But from my own previous experience with coding: longer pauses between updates equals more wasted time. Procrastination sucks.
At this rate, the game should reach 100% around the middle of August. At 1%/day, I came up with August 17. That probably doesn't include Beta testing, though. But I can't see 0.4 delaying past August.
actually, according to some sources crossbows may have been in use in romeWait, crossbows? Rome didn't have access to them!
Well, at least Jerry did complain about their armor...Are you really debating if the presence of the crossbows is historically accurate in a server, in which the Roman legionnaries wear the same "armour" used by the Spartans in the movie 300?
And in spanish crossbow is "ballesta". Very interesting, thank you!If only he could have a penny for every time he has die and he will…
Anyway yes, the Romans started to use a weapons very close to our crossbows since the 146 century b.C.; after the annexation of the Ancient Greece. They called it ballista and it was a kind of crossbow powered by torsion springs, while the modern crossbows use the leaf springs.
Oh yes, that would be a nice little treatI hope we'll see more from Jade!

Ah ok, THOSE crossbows. Also known as 'Scorpio'. Ok, that clarifies a lot. I'm not used to them being called crossbows (or at least without the 'giant' adjective)If only he could have a penny for every time he has die and he will…

Rome didn't have access to crossbows? They were familiar with the Greek gastraphete which dates to 6th century BC. They'd adopted them to "hand held" size arcuballista by no later than the 4th AD (admittedly, late empire), while having used seige sized and other smaller variants since at least the first century AD. Given this would be a late Roman server, crossbows would be on point. And using that name gets the idea across to a wider variety of people than the term "arcuballista".Nice references to Obelix with Owler and Dora with Dalia!
The remembrance thing was a nice touch
And poor Jerry
