You are absolutely right, it's one of the best scenes I've ever seen and ,as someone else said, the final touch was the gag with "we can't do it anymore..."
Very Caribdis, that's why I love this guy.
I would say the scene with Hana in "Pale Carnation" come pretty damn close imo
Yeah...that whole Hana scene...that might actually be the pinnacle of sex scenes in a VN, at least of the ones I know so far. Like...the Alex scene was great, really great, but due to the structure and the ending it just can't get the emotional impact that the Hana scene was able to achieve.

Funny enough both Hana and Alex are actually very alike. Both are the Punk/Goth rebel type with tons of tats and a motorbike. Both have father issues. Both seem very tough and unapproachable at first...

Does Anyone have a save from the end content of 0.5 ( the costume party scene to be exact)
The beginning or the end of the party?

Steam most likely won't happen. Originally it being made with Honey Select prevented that outright, although now that Illusion closed down...not sure what that will do. Then again the last update alone has assets in it that would probably get it thrown off Steam very quickly.

Some people actually make playlists on YT of the soundtrack:

This is, by far, one of the best games I've played in a long time. The fact that Jerry keeps dying from his own idiocy is one of my favorite running gags in any game. Love the art, love the animations, love the story. Not all the kinks are my thing, but they're not meant to be and that's okay. I'm creating a Patreon account today and supporting this dev. I can't wait until this game is finished and can be played end-to-end like Once in a Lifetime.
I'm with you 100%. The game is fantastic, as is Once. I didn't create an account today, but I too decided to support Cari today myself. I can't wait to see what's in store next.

The only possible nickname.

Me? I'm Mr. Nobody.
I feel like calling yourself "Nobody" in 0.6 is the best thing. Odysseus called himself "Nobody" to Polyphemus (the cyclops he defeated). Fits in with the whole Greek mythology theme with Thanatos and Calypso (who fell for Odysseus in the Odyssey). Not to mention that Ulysses is the Latin name for Odysseus.

I absolutely love the story-telling aspect that Caribdis has put in Eternum

Yeah...not gonna happen.

No. 1 can't because the renders for the VN are from Honey Select 2. And unlike Daz3D where the assets you buy from the asset store and the stuff you make are yours to freely commercialize and make money of, Honey Select 2 doesn't because the assets and the built-in studio where devs make the renders are supposedly for private and non-commercial use only, and cannot be commercialized or sold. The way devs skirt through these rules though is that you don't technically sell a product on Patreon or Subscribestar or Itch.io, as they release the game for free and you're only paying for the privilege to try them out earlier than the public release as well as providing devs some moolah in order for them to continue working. But once you sell that on Steam? Yeah, that's a quick cease and desist you're looking at, bud.

No. 2 on the other hand...well, , but Cari won't be able to sell an album because most of the stuff used in the game are from Royalty-Free sites like Epidemic Sound. And while Cari is able to get music from said sites, recently they have been cracking down on devs that use their music for Adult VNs through the anti-porn clauses in their contracts, meaning you can use their music for stuff EXCEPT for adult-related content. So far though, Cari seems to be flying under the radar from getting a CnD from these license holders because he's currently not selling Eternum on Steam AND his work isn't as popular as, say, BaDIK or any other Daz3D AVN that's currently on Steam. And he'll likely want to keep it that way I think.

Agreed, sadly that's the biggest limitation to this title to become more known, and it's a pity Illusion put this snare on, the game deserve to be on Steam too.
And a potential issue for the music would be deadly too, I read that some complaints are circulating online, like it happened for Artemis and I sincerely hope it will not have the same outcome for this game too, because the BGM Cari chose is perfect imho.:)

Actually makes me wonder how it does work for BaDIK though. That game has a massive Soundtrack as well and it is actually sold on Steam (and it is larger and more widespread known as well). So if any game should be getting into trouble over this it would be BaDIK or so I would think.

So far, I've only seen this issue with games that used Steam (although I imagine GoG would have similar ways to products sold through them), but its certainly possible the targets might shift to other hosting venues eventually ... but it also may be that the other sites don't (currently) have the capability to be policed the way Steam does, so that may be part of it.

It really depends on how they source their music. The final version of Leap of Faith, for instance: All its music is sourced individually, directly from the artists.

As of right now Steam is far west, so there's no way to pinpoint how some titles Like BaDIK are ok while others had issues, Elhemeer gave a good explanation for it.
Another thing to do is to look at the fan base, too many reports and the mods will act or those who have the copyrights could send a C&D and it would be the end, and there's no way to tell if and when that could happen. :(

Plus, cari doesnt credit music artists in his game, which most royalty-free licenses do require.

I really don't see him using DAZ, i mean it's only my humble opinion, but DAZ gives you more limits form a graphic standpoint than advantages ( I have very few titles that I like with that software honestly), to me HS2 is the perfect graphic software to use in an AVN, but again it's only my personal point of view.:)

No idea what you're talking about, I really can't see any connection whatsoever. :Kappa:

With all that martial buildup and the war scenery I just had to use "the bear jew". A decision that I will never regret even once I'm absolutely sure.

Probably so that fans don't start spamming the YT pages of those songs which could quickly put him on the crosshairs of license holders or artists who don't want their work associated with adult-related content.

Unfortunately for him though, fans who don't know any of that legal shit are doing it regardless and likely making things a lot worse for him. :KEK:

Not to mention the hardware costs that you have to incur in order to get things running in the same pace he's currently doing (as opposed to running HS2...which in itself doesn't really require a demanding system if most of what you're going to do is get stills for your VN and all). His schedule's also going to be hit hard if he ever switches to Daz3D and a lot of fans will have to adjust with the new release schedule accordingly.

Given the default name and Nova mentioning said default name as her impression on his costume back in 0.5, "The Huntsman" seems to be a lot more fitting for Orion...but that's just my opinion on the matter. /shrugs

Just wondering, why do you think DAZ has more limits?
The uncanny valley effect is the first thing that come to my mind, others are the distortions of the body/faces ( that you can't always correct, this is especially evident when you use the old Genesis models).
These are the most important, followed by the overuse of standards assets ( mainly hairs but other physical assets are in the same league), and in general the fact that if you don't know how to use DAZ really well, renderings are less pleasant to the eye ( especially due to the fact that DAZ is way more demanding in terms of hardware when making the renders, so if you don't have a very good machine you can't use it to it's full extent).
But as I wrote it's a personal preference mostly, there are many other users that don't like HS/HS2 for the same reasons so take my "critique" if want to call it like that with a grain of salt.
If the story is good enough and the game is engaging I don't care which graphic software is used to make it I will play it regardless. :)
