I have seen the post, and that is one of the reasons I did not bother to pay the game again.

If only this was the game. It's probably about him continuing the story in novel form. Which sadly I'm not really interested in. I loved the girls. Sad we will probably never be able see them again.

By changing to another media (like novel) it would loss its charm, and one of the benefits of playing game is our interaction with different characters.
Awww, well, I'm sad that this got set aside. I'll throw it on the shelf of "excellent titles that never saw a conclusion" and light a metaphorical candle from time to time.
Seeing this be abandoned literally is the saddest thing ever right now. This was the second VN I've ever played that has such an amazing story. RIP

Well fuck! I guess I need to start reading the entire forum before downloading a game from now on. I really enjoyed this game, and the girls were done amazingly. It just sucks to play a great game only to find out that you will never see a proper end to it and miss out on 1/2 the journey.
Sad, now I need a puppy and a coloring book with a nice corner to hide in.

just finished playing and finding out its not going to be finished is heartbreaking. i absolutely loved the characters and the lore and i felt like i was playing an anime. guess this reminded me to never play them until they're finished, it'll stop the disappointment

Welp, another one bites the dust and to the abandoned pile we go. I understand that Prometheus was stopping the development and that we may not know what is happening behind the scenes, but it doesn't make it less of a bummer to see one of the games I sincerely enjoy playing and waiting for an update for getting abandoned. I wanted to shit on the dev for not continuing the development, but it's not gonna be fair on him for wanting to have a regular life.
While it's a shame, Prometheus did say that he's stepping away for an indefinite time. I used to sincerely hope that an update would roll out (which may be 11/10 just wishful thinking and a dash of hopium on my end) after being on hold for so long, but I know that deep down, games currently on hold will most likely get abandoned and sadly, it's true for Evermore. A game I wanted to continue playing as much as the people here is dead. Still, what a bummer. RIP. Will probably cry in the corner hugging my knees and my imaginary pet fox.

But his Patreon was (minimally) active just exactly a month ago today...Here we go, finally officially abandoned...
This page should've been listed as abandoned when he announced he was quitting. I think what probably happened was that Prometheus reported it himself as on hold, when it was really abandoned. The mods didn't double check, marked the page as on hold. Someone re-reported it as abandoned, the mods did check and then marked it as abandoned.

And? Prometheus said it himself he abandoned it for now but want to told the rest of the story one day, but not in an AVN game.
It's really unsettling to watch many good games with a lot of potential getting abandoned. It's hard to see a new game and think "oh it's fun, it's good and I hope to see how it continues" if you can't be certain if its going to get abandoned or not. A real shame....on the abandoned list it goes...

to be fair, he did post something on his discord explaining his situation earlier this year. https://f95zone.to/threads/evermore-v0-5-1-prometheus.103770/post-13937035. i'm not a patron so i don't know what his post there is about, and after his announcement, i honestly doubt it's anything much. but yeah, being on hold since Nov of 2023 (based on F95Checker), it's hasnt been looking bright.
too bad man, Evermore has been on hold for almost a year. so even though it's tagged as on hold, it's as good as abandoned afaic. and honestly speaking, my hope for this game also died a little bit with every passing day. while he did say that he's going continue the story, it's not gonna be an AVN. prolly some other kind of medium, which i'm not sure i'd like.
this is a very likely scenario. seeing from his announcement from discord, i would assume that he's very occupied with what he's currently doing that he hadn't got the chance to update mods on what is happening in his life. but it didn't actually matter imho, the game is dead since his announcement. just finding it difficult to come to terms with the situation. FeelsBadMan.
