Parody is protected from copyright complaints. The issue here is the game featured music and artwork that was owned by the IP holder. The manga pages, the anime cut out sprites and the soundtrack were the issue rather than the characters or world.

I see, well, I hope that either it simply does a revamp or that some dev develops it with original content.
The problem is Patreon too many assholes on that platform that will report a developer because there jealous that there work is getting more attention. Should just use SubscribeStar or Itchio like more developers are doing.. Getting away from the whole Patreon trap.
This is a really good solution, also imo AstRider , instead of ditching completely this game. You could implement it in the next, since not everyone is a fan of female protag, you could do a 2 paths game, male and female. In your patreon you mentioned " and I want to work drawing double penetration, scenes with monsters and etc, and doing that with a male protagonist, without being NTR is difficult. ". This could be easily overlooked by the fact that August is op as fck and Mashima could do way more with him as with almost everyone else(looking at the fact Mystogan was highly wasted), one of his powers that never were explored could be him make clones of himself, disguise magic of objects, creatures, anything really. In an universe like Fairy tail and with a main character OP as August you are only limited by imagination itself.

About the copyright, it involves a formal request from a production company that has the rights to (?) Fairy Tail, it's not about Patreon, all Patreon did was broker saying "They demand that you remove the content, so either you remove it or unfortunately we will end your account.", it doesn't matter if I go to Subscribstar, they'll do it the same way... (The only difference between subs to Patreon is that they don't have laws for ideology coming from sex or any matter that concerns sex...)
Now about the main character being a woman... I really don't know what to say, I like harem but I don't see any problems with playing games like "Fallen Makina", "Noxian Nights", etc. I know not everyone thinks like me, but as I said I want to do it, I know there will be an audience that will appreciate the content and nothing is holding you to at least try it and see if you want or not to play, give it a go at least.
About having another protagonist, this is not something impossible and it is even feasible to have two options but come on guys... the first version of the game, don't you think it's too much? Making a game with two protagonists is not simple, as much as I have a programmer working with me on this project, it's not like he's going to do it overnight, much less I design everything overnight, so I ask you to be patient in Concerning this, it is a subject that will be discussed later within my Patrons, as it is something that delays the update frequency of the game since there will be 2 simultaneous routes.
Speaking for only myself, of course it isn't to much but I also know a game with a single protagonist takes time, with 2 might take the double or even the triple of it. For the way you wrote I can see that you want to move on and try the female protagonist game and it's ok, you should try new ideas and foundations. What I said in the previous posts was just to take in consideration that this game, Fairy Trainer, even though it's giving you some headaches it's still loved by many. People like myself love the fantasy of the thought of f..king FT characters.
Also and this might be purely speculation from my part(since I usually ignore female protags only games but try games with both male and female protags) but having both protags, even if you focus only on the female for the next years or so will bring the atention of many people.
And yes most of us are patient, the ones that aren't unfortunately are usually the loudest.

I think the thing is simpler than it seems, just tell the story you want to tell, if you start "asking for permission" from the players the game is going to be a sure failure, if you want to make a game with a female protagonist go ahead, and don't make a game with 2 MC's (male and female) that doesn't work and in the end you will have to work twice as hard for content that not everyone is going to like, not to mention that at the slightest chance that you target NTR everyone is going to hate this , something that does not happen with Female protagonist.
In the end, the only problem here is that we all liked the fairy tail game, anything from here on is not going to like it so much by comparison, but if in the end your proposal is good, it will work the same.

Agreed, though the, NTR doesnt happen with female protagonist im pretty certain there were some so its kind of safer to say that its dumb to do NTR as people hate it, myself included but not to a point where ill go on every thread to post it like a retard though there were some i played just due to the way the story was good

oh there will be an audience. just a even smaller audience then there is currently. just take a look for yourself at the top patreon games and see how many are male vs female. its overwhelming towards male for a reason. but go ahead and shit on everyone who like this game
How is he shitting on everyone who liked this game? He got hit by a takedown request, go be mad at the property holder who threw a legal hissy fit because their content got lewded. Just because you don't like his next project doesn't mean he's shitting on you. End of the day this is just smut, even if FT was really good smut there's nothing here serious enough that you should feel you're getting shat on over.

Except it's not a reboot. It's an FMC corruption game set in a similar world and I believe he also specifically said it's not going to be called Fairy Trainer. That doesn't sound even remotely like a reboot to me, at the absolute most it's a way to preserve existing assets.
Don't like the new concept then don't play it, but just because it isn't for you doesn't mean the dev is shitting on you. Devs don't have an obligation to preserve the exact same genres across separate projects, which is what this is.

This is something important that may not have been clear to everyone; I don't plan on rebooting the FT, I created CYHM to replace Fairy Trainer, and maybe even better than Fairy Trainer in terms of story. This new project of mine is a joint project with someone else, a concept was well-drawn to games like "Breeding Season", "Roundscape Adorevia", and "Insexsity" approaches.
(And as I said before, I don't rule out the possibility of having a male protagonist in a future version.)

Still surprised there are like a million Naruto games but only two Fairy Tail games and one of them is now dead. We really need more Fairy Tail on this site.
