It may not be the only reason to be here but, matter of fact, it is the
main reason and therefore is THE purpose of the site.
You may not know the story of F95 (both of the internet handle and this site) but long story short, F95 was a (in)famous uploader on torrent aggregators who eventually created their own site to consolidate his uploads and create a community. The rest is history.
And a simple glance at the forum's "focused" structure tells you:
- There are dedicated uploader (pending application) staff with clear identification, for obvious purposes;
- There is a list of approved file hosts to be used, and the need for such a list requires no further explanation;
- The "About Us" describes: "F95zone is an adult community where you can find tons of great adult games...". The implication should be clear enough.
Surely nowadays F95 is so big that it is used for many other purposes as well, and one thing that could also be argued is that the forums help developers in the long run, with lots of exposition they get for their games due to the sheer volume of people that visit the site... (then again, this is a contentious and complex topic which is not relevant here).
But don't for even a second be delusional of the forum's main purpose: to share games. It has always been since its inception and continues to this day. I love and support this site, but regardless of where you stand on the "piracy vs premium" scale, I don't think that glossing over this simple fact is a healthy thing to do.
