They have been approved for closed beta test (CBT). They are currently working on the steam page so that is not public, yet. Also, they do not know how many steam keys they will be given for CBT. A week or so ago, someone asked them on Discord how bug reporting would be done. ProjectH stated that they didn't think about adding that and it would be a good idea to have that. Today ProjectH mentioned that it's now in development. They have not mentioned if it actually would be something in the game, their website, or a discord ticket system. Only the dev team knows how this will be done.

I mean, good for them really, they're making millions off the people that are actually spending that much on this

I mean I think they have the luxury to do this because of how high of a quality their game is, and they know it. I supported them for some time (stopped recently cause I feel I supported them enough and $CAD conversation is too expensive), but if it was a different company having the same quality game, I'd support them instead. Basically if anyone could do what they do, others would be making good money too. But clearly it's not easy and these guys have made something unique. So yes, they are charging a lot, but that's because there's not much competition. The last time I downloaded a game in the same category, I decided to try Honey Select 2 (a 50Gb game), and it ended up being the most garbage game I have ever played, with absolutely atrocious penetration. Huge turn off, deleted immediately. The only other game that I really enjoyed apart from Helius, is one called Succubus Cafe, those guys actually made something quite good! I suggest you try it.

You need to understand that AAA games can sell for millions of people, maybe billions (2.8 billion gamers across the globe in 2020). Adult games, on the other hand, are restricted to a niche market, it faces restrictions in many platforms (Epic, for example) so we need to be willing to pay more for less. Look... Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to defend ProjectH. What I'm trying to say is that it isn't fair to compare Adult games to AAA games. You should compare 'apples to apples' (not sure if that's how you say use this term, english is not my main language)

Also, Patreon funding is totally different from buying a finished product. The same goes for alpha versions. If you participate in funding, you are an investor, so you need to get rid of that 'customer' mentality. We could say customers are reactive: they buy what they like; on the other hand, investors are proactive: they make what they want exist. But being an investor comes with many, many risks...

This. The thing others don't realize is, for what it is - a game where you just pick a sex pose and just have some bits of control - they do damn well at that. I don't see any other games that even comes close at how awesome this looks. I understand people who prefer porn games with intricate story, and those are awesome in their own right. But I have never encountered such games with great story AND also includes awesome sex scenes. It's usually the one or the other. This game is about the sex scenes and nothing even comes close at how good the penetration here is. I play in VR and it is just a hell of an eye candy.

Now I have to disagree with you on Honey Select 2. Next to Fallen Doll: OL, it is the best in my opinion. I will agree with you that the penetration kinda sucks, but remember - all the unscensoring stuff are just made by modders. For me, HS2 is basically a sex scene maker. There are tons of MODS and if you know how to use them, coupled with your imagination, it's like unlimited possibilities. VR is not that optimized but it is still great. You can even boop their boobies using the touch controllers. lol

Yeah the penetration is absolute perfection. For me penetration physics are super important and Fallen Doll OL nails it down. The skin textures are also amazing. In fact I even bump up the resolution to 120% and zoom into scenes real close, nothing beats their quality, and their animations are really smooth. Just a couple of clipping issues that I want fixed, especially for the Dr Anya, she has lots of clipping issues in her scenes. But that's because I'm a perfectionist and want my scenes to look great.

Now as for Honey Select 2, the huge problem with that game is that it's also, like OL, meant for sex scenes, but it absolutely fails to impress me. It has no story, so you expect the sex scenes to turn you on. I get it, there are tons and tons of mods, but what's the point of it all if at the end there's major points that make the game incredibly subpar (I'll explain below). Don't get me wrong, if this was a 5~7GB game, I wouldn't be hard on it. But it's freaking 50Gb, and it does such a poor job for its size.

For your reading, 4 Major points that highly bothered me in HS2:
1) You know, the skin texture looks like crap. For 50GB they could of thrown a 2GB texture for all I care. I mean it's silly to have such bad textures for a large game. At least have something decent. I bumped everything up while having all the HQ modded skin textures, but still looks bad.
2) My god- the camera is absolutely terrible. I was getting a huge headache using it. I even put 2 hours of effort to get used to it, but no, it's so so so terrible, beyond words. OL's ease of use camera is a god sent compared to HS2. Camera use was frustrating during scenes, something that should NOT be a thing for these games.
3) I get it, the game is meant to be censored, maybe the scenes would of looked better censored even though I don't enjoy censored in the first place, I don't know. I still feel like it's a huge failure if even the mods can't save the game, to give us a decent looking penetration. I mean look at the pictures below. It's horrendous. Huge turn off.

4) The game is badly optimized. Like, very badly. I have an RTX 3080 and even for me the game is lagging and slowing down during scenes, to the point of affecting your enjoyment of the game. Also crashes, and crashes, for no reason. Something I never encounter with other games.

Summary: Overall for how big this game is, it's nothing but a huge disappointment for me. Just gotta honest. A game like Succubus Cafe is only 8GB and blows HS2 out of the park for how much better it looks, and how much better it runs. It even has great penetration in their scenes, and even better skin textures! Who would have thought.

Do it! You will not be disappointed. The sex scenes are amazing and they even have threesome options which is cool (The 3 girls are quite pretty). Also specific orgasm scenes depending on the position. Just read my review I left on their page if you want.
Edit: Oh and, you can toggle that Japanese dirty talk at the top right whenever you want. The game is unique that's for sure. Could use improvements but they got something going I think which is it's own unique style compared to OL for example.

Anyone managed to run this game with a GTX 750ti 2GB? I try and it run at 40-50 fps at medium setting but the texture won't load in and it look like potato . The old game Fallen Doll 1.31 run fine though.

Damn, you got a 3080? I only have a 2060 AMD laptop. And yeah, I put everything in low when playing in VR.

The problem with Honey Select is it requires extra work to make it look good. Sometimes so much that it's not even worth it. And as you have said, it's unbelievably unoptimized considering Illusion Soft had been doing this for more than two decades. But again, for me the main appeal of this game is the Studio. Thanks to modders, it has hundreds of clothes, high texture skins, maps, items, etc. I also prefer the character imports from other games made by modders - not a fan of the default girls. You can even input mmd dances/motions. Illusion Soft games are always about mods. And by the way, the latest repack is almost 150GB. lol It's filled to the brim by mods. And oh, I hate the sex sequences in modern Illusion Soft games. I can't remember when they started doing this but every sex scene is divided into sequences. Like for instance (waiting) - (inserting) - (pumping), it abruptly teleports to each sequence that it breaks the immersion. So stupid. Sex scenes should be seamless like here in FDOL.

gotta agree that hs2 is nice but the penetration fucking ruins it, there are mods for it though
